[ The scene presented via jewelry is within one of the many rooms of the newly refurbished Oska castle. A centaur stands next to the cheerfully roaring fire, presenting a matchingly cheerful smile. ]
It looks like you’ve all lived, although that was a little close there, for some of you. Good work! I knew you could do it.
Now, as you may have noticed by Oska looking quite well around you, the last week was a false reality. Don’t take it personally, that happens to everyone here eventually. We have to make sure recruits are up to snuff. You’re a bit unique as a whole team of greenhorns, though. To be quite honest, I’ve never seen this activity done on such a large scale before. It was impressive, wasn’t it? And don’t worry, any trinkets you may have come across are quite real, and yours to keep if you want them.
So then, to business. I’m Uruz. I’m familiar with some of you already, although I’m afraid that’s one-sided in most cases — I spent a fair bit of time in there with you, but none of you saw me if I was doing my job right. ALASTAIR has asked me and my compatriots, Dagny, Crowley, and Cherenkov, to review your performance within Chantes and rate your work. It’s quite a big job, our to-do with worlds, and we want to make sure we’ve got trustworthy recruits. I’ve attached that for you, please do give it a glance.
There we go. On a final note, I’ve been asked to let you know that you’ve got some time to spend in Oska before your next assignment, which is to Nalawi. A lovely place, I’m a bit envious. Enjoy your downtime, and again, good work! I’ve very high hopes for the lot of you.
[ The network is now back up again along with Oska being restored and the weather events ended, and you can find a full description of current Oska right here. Feel free to use this post to thread on, and the NPCs may make a few appearances for direct questions. ]

dagny: Well, the king died. So that's... not the best. From what I hear, things are kind of chaotic there right now, what with the whole 'no government' thing and all. And a lot of you got in a ton of trouble with the law. But you did work together! Most of you, anyway. People died and the city got destroyed, but I know you all did your best, so you get points for effort. I give you an... eight. Point five. No, nine out of ten. But that's as high as I'll go, because, you know. The murder and death.
Don’t feel bad, though, there’s always room for improvement.
crowley: Your refusal to work with the goblins’ natural talents for magic was disappointing. I foresaw much potential there, and it was wasted on your muddying things up with politics. On the other paw, your dispelling of demons and other magical creatures was serviceable, if a little last-minute. 5/10.
cherenkov: I stopped paying attention after you all brought the sun back. Because that's what matters, doesn't it? You didn’t do badly for a bunch of apes, but don’t get distracted by the diplomatic nonsense next time. Ignore the cow and the knife-eared one. Spend the time improving instrumentation, not making friends. 8/10.
uruz: You did make an attempt. You got engaged and cared to deal with their issues, which, well, we'd really have an issue for concern if not. And you did very nice work on a personal level, to bring together goblins and humans. They'll not be moving in together any time soon, but they're on the right path. But really, did you have to murder the man? He'd just killed the king, to be sure, but taking a life has serious consequences, no matter whose it was. It sets you on a path it can be difficult to step off of. But overall, acceptable. 6/10.

[He's throwing a bit of a fit over this, sorry Masamune. But after some fist-flailing in the air, he calms down.]
We'll... just have to do better next time.
no subject
...Are you used to this sort of thing at all? [ he's gonna...assume you belong with the...fish and monster stuff people he met on his network post, yep. ]

I'm wondering if you're used to things working out no matter what or if these hard doses of reality are something you'll always be able to bounce back from.

I just don't think anyone deserves to die. That's not weird!
Arthur really cared about him. And now he has to live the rest of his life without his brother. I wish we could have done things differently. No one does what they do without a reason! Maybe if we spent more time with Michel, we could have helped him.
no subject
...Sometimes, it's easier to live without them than bear witness to your failing them and what they have become.
I won't lie, it's absolutely possible. Some people are too far gone, but others aren't. If you feel this strongly about it in the future, you'll need to be more aggressive and faster than the ones deciding to kill. Time is going to be against you with the way ALASTAIR works, you understand that?
no subject
I don't think anyone's ever too far gone. But you're right!! I should have tried harder. I will try harder, next time!!

Such good spirit.

Relax, whatever happened in this Chantes place... it's all over and done, yeah? Like they said, there's room for improvement.

[...?! ]
Wait-
ARE YOU A ROBOT??
no subject
Yeah. Robot. In simpler terms.

no subject
Yep, showed up during the middle of this 'test' mess. Name's Rodimus, Captain of the Lost Light.
Have you been under ALASTAIR long, Papyrus?
no subject
[GONNA TRY TO GET THAT IN THERE SINCE THIS GUY SEEMS LIKE HE LIKES TITLES.]
I've been with ALASTAIR for a few months! It has certainly been exciting and dangerous!
no subject
[He waves his hand dismissively with a vented sigh.]
"Great" huh?
[That's amusing. He rests his chin in the palm of his hand.]
What makes the "Great Papyrus" so great?
no subject
[Literally a skeleton..........]
Very impressive, yes??
no subject
Yeah lookit you! Beefy as hell. I'm impressed!
Looks like ALASTAIR isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Granted, you're not as squishy as the last organic I met, but you certainly have a personality!
no subject
[Certified 100% compliment to a robot, he's sure.]
And I should hope I am not as squishy, as I am made of hard bones!! Being squishy would be a very bad problem for me. Soft and cuddly though, those are still adjectives I would use to describe myself. Very huggable. I highly recommend it!!
no subject
Had to wash myself down in the lake. Not my ideal washing method but eh, what can ya do? [Rodimus grins wider and taps his own chest, above his autobot badge.]
Well at least you've got some armor there. So you have some protection.
Hugs? [Hugging a skeleton?] I think I'll settle for a handshake.
no subject
I think now that ALASTAIR's proper facilities have been brought back, you'll be able to use a real shower! If they're big enough for you, that is.
Oh, right, the armor... I am actually thinking about not wearing it as much! It's nice, but very heavy.
A handshake works for me! Not everyone is the hugging type, I understand.
no subject
[And he tosses a wink in there before he looks down at himself.]
Yeah I think I'll be able to fit in an organic shower. Probably in my Alt Mode, but it should still work.
no subject
Nyeh heh heh heh...!! Well, I certainly wouldn't refuse one!!
[Can skeletons blush??? The answer is now found to be: yes.]
What is an Alt Mode?
