[ This is going to have to be text for now, not just because it's easier, but because she is one unhappy fish. Not that text is going to help much, but it's a start. Some of her friends are missing, and she has no idea what their fate is. It's hard to not imagine the worst... ]

Yeah, so. This mission just went from lame to really freakin' lame. Before we go running all around looking for whoever's gone missing, we need to figure out who's still here. Check in, find your friends, find out who's missing. If you know someone's lost their jewelry, this is the place to let everyone know they're alive. I don't care if you don't want to talk to me, or just want to tell me the bomb didn't work or whatever, as long as the team knows you're not... gone.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the big island seems like safest place right now. If you can get here, do it now. If you can't, ask for help.

I've got Ninat, but no Kida. Whatever that was seems to have been very selective to leave pets behind.

The storm we arrived in was different, wasn't it? Unless the only people who were lost didn't have anyone around to miss them...

Maybe we should make head counts part of our regular routine. They might have a better idea of who's missing at HQ (if anyone), not that I'm thrilled with the idea of asking for more help.

Even if that first storm didn't sweep people away like this, it could have been from the same source. I'm not really a weather guy, but it's worth looking into. The Nalawi -- and us, by extension -- could be getting attacked by something.

I don't know anything about weather, either, but you're probably right. Where do we even start with something like that, though?

We could ask the locals. They didn't seem too surprised by the first storm, but then again, they may have just chalked up the violence of it to their powers being weakened.

How many locals are even left, though? They didn't seem to want to answer questions before, you think they'll want to now?

I think they're more likely to answer questions about weird weather than they are questions about their day-to-day. Weather's the best kind of small talk, after all.
