While some features of it may yet prove familiar—that golden hair, those red eyes, snowy white skin—others may not, such as that radiant smile. This is indeed Gilgamesh, looking about 5,000 years younger, and he's very happy to see you! He appears to be sitting on a mountain of Stuff in his room, that stuff being various things he's yanked out of the Gate. Looks like someone's attempted to do some spring cleaning.

Judging from the mess he's made, though, the degree of success he's had may be slightly questionable.]

It sure is exciting around here, huh? We're going to a new planet really soon, and I don't know about you, but I haven't visited too many of those. Guess that makes us real explorers now! Pioneers, even, like in the movies! I always wanted to visit space, see the stars, meet a few aliens...

[Gil dangles his little legs over the side of his bed, humming cheerily.]

What kind of planets have you been to? I mean, if you've been to any. Even talking about your home world would be fine! Me, I'm from Earth.

[Which wasn't too exciting, in his view, and by his guess most everyone was familiar with it already. Anyway, he should probably wrap this up, so—]

[She almost manages to convince herself that it isn't him- he had never given any hint of the ability to shapeshift or cast illusions in this way- nor warp between ages at will. Maybe she could even have ignored the username, and even the physical resemblance, because the personality was just... Not right, and he was too young, (what, her age?), but-

Is it truly the King of Heroes I address now?

[Gil scratches behind his head awkwardly, unsure of exactly how to address this.]

But just Gil will do. And aren't you Sieg?

... If you wish to address me so. Some do.

[Had he ever? "Sieg". "Gil". She doesn't know what to make of this, and it shows somewhat on her face despite her best efforts to appear as the Green Witch in this moment.]

Is this... some sot of jest, or?

[If anyone deserves the truth, it's Sieglinde. So without hesitation, Gil gives it to her.]

My other self got hurt really badly, so he had to take a nap. I'm taking over for now while he rests.

[She knows he doesn't mean hurt as in a fight. Something as devastating as to injure Gilgamesh so badly, she couldn't have not noticed- even as bedridden as she was.

He ran away, you mean. And left "you" to deal with things.

[Gil smiles lopsidedly. He's not a very good liar, so he doesn't even try.]

It sounds awful when you put it that way. But I guess he was pretty scared, so I can't blame him too much.

Because it is awful. And hypocritical.

[But she feels cruel, to take that anger out on this... person, who seemed so different in act, and age, and disconnect.

But all she can think of is that time when he had asked her, would she run away from what scared her? She hadn't. And it looked like he had.

Perhaps she had made a mistake. Perhaps it had been her in the wrong to think it in the first place. Perhaps she was wrong to be angry that he did not lean on her if he was scared, or if not her, someone better-]

You must tell me if you do not wish to discuss him. Your connection is not clear to me.

[...well, that was quite a confession. But it's probably going to take something of that magnitude to distract her from that quiet rage, and even if he didn't entirely understand what happened or why, it was still a part of himself in the end. A part he couldn't reach, but a part all the same.

So maybe he's being just the slightest bit protective, though it may come across otherwise.]

I just want you to be happy. So whatever makes you happiest, I want to do that.

[It doesn't look like she's going to be able to shake him here... maybe that relentlessness carried over to both personalities.]

But she can't say she wasn't craving company. Even if she was still feeling angry at what that person had done.]

[It made her feel a bit less like she had to be carried around if she could sit in the crook of an arm rather than piggyback or ride on someone's shoulders... but.]

[Such a particular lady. But Gil doesn't mind at all. It was sounding like bringing the fun to her really was the better idea, and thinking over it some more, he's not exactly sure where he'd take her in Oska. It wasn't the most scenic of locations. He nods to himself, considering...]
