Not to mention appropriating existing resources and taking advantage of certain family dynamics.

Does incarnation continue to not count as an excuse?

Incarceration was no excuse when I could pluck them out before a meeting and return them afterward.

[ She totally would return them, if they were in there for something stupid and you-probably-deserve-this like "three days for vandalism" or "two days for public drunkenness." High treason is a different story... ]

It appears that they've increased their security after the last time.

[ She suspects they might not have had this problem if they let ALASTAIR members serve their day or two in jail after the brawl. But people broke their compatriots out anyway, and revealed ALASTAIR's abilities... ]

[ There was a reason why he paid bail instead of pulling people out...why does no one else think of these things? ]

Somehow, I am not surprised. Any reaction on our parts will not endear any of us to the human side. It would be easier to let it progress.

[ Allowing some members of the group to be charged with high treason and suffer the consequences is something he'd only suggest to Glee. It's not a comfortable thing to discuss, but should be said. ]

We passed the point of endearing ourselves to the humans when a group barged in on the king.

In any case, they can't be allowed to die for doing what ALASTAIR hired them to do.

[ One or two days as a punishment for making a mess of things, sure, people in ALASTAIR could plausibly deserve that. Death, nope, Glee's justice-kick won't allow it. ]

How troublesome. I suppose the meeting will shift in focus due to necessity?

Unless someone else manages to break them out in the meantime, yes. Preventing mass executions is a priority.

One would hope the others agree.

[ He has minor doubts about that. ]

Should someone attempt to gain access to them through official means?

[ The response takes a beat as she thinks it over. ]

It would be a good distraction from an extra-legal attempt.

However, there's a chance that the person attempting it would be arrested as a co-conspirator.

There is always a chance that any action could go poorly. Disguise may be necessary.

[ Which some are better suited to than others, but they can likely come up with something. ]

I had not considered you for that role. There are others better suited.

It can't be treason if they have no allegiance to Chantes, for instance.

I could demand to see them on humanitarian grounds. Relying mostly on a challenge to the treason charge may not get me inside.
