I have no duty to the devious-minded sons of Alastair. As for my duty to the cloven-footed Nalawi, to which I am bound by their generosity in tolerating us as guests in their land long past the expectations of hospitality - that duty stretches only so far. I can agree to hunting Pomarr and letting my spear drink of her blood, but do not think that I will so readily discard my life in a hopeless battle against the goddesses.
