If you wanted them to be, sure. But, I understand your desire for something that doesn't rely on brute force. the stronger you are, the heavier and bigger a sword you can use. But, trust me from experience, strength doesn't add much to a sword beyond size and weight because of how they are meant to be used.

However, a weapon that could work with your strength -- strike faster, cut deeper, or even be used as a blunt means of knocking an enemy back -- but still do all those things without it would be ideal, yes? I mean, you'll be slower and not knock someone back as far, but you'll still do it and do it successfully so. The good thing is when you have your strength you can utilize the weapon even better.
