longtempered: (quiescent)

[The gesture's a pretty self-explanatory one, and Shizuo's now in too good a mood to have any second thoughts about it. What second thoughts would there be to have, anyway? Not like he's going to be hurting this particular person anytime soon, by the looks of it, much less by sitting next to her--

So he does at the invitation, still working the last few chortles out of his system. By the time Ramir starts elaborating a little on her own situation he's pushed himself into settling down a bit, at least, planting both hands on his knees and visibly interested at this news.]

What, so like a family thing? [Ramir's lightly-passing mention of her grandmother's death does manage to fly below the radar easily enough--Shizuo assumes it's that sort of situation where a grandparent dies before you really get to know them, or something. Happens to plenty of people. Ramir doesn't make a big deal of it, and there's plenty else to hold his attention at the moment anyway.

Like the question, which earns a shrug. Shizuo sits back, as well as he can manage on this silly half-broken bench.]
Nah, I'm pretty sure I didn't get it from anywhere. Nobody else in my family has this sort of thing, as far as I know...it just kind of happened when I was a kid. Around seven. [He hums, moving to dig around for something in an inner pocket of his waistcoat. Distractedly:] Broke about ten different bones picking up a fridge the first time.
