Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]

Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.

Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.

First, my horns are quite sensitive, and even a little bit ticklish at the base. Second, I explicitly helped in bringing about the destruction of my own planet. And third, I once gathered an army of myself from other timelines, to fight a very powerfully psychic monster.

You're right on that! They feel just like my fingernails, though the bases are sensitive... that's the skin around them, though!

...maybe I should have gone with that one! But yes, in a sense I was all three at once at one point. First, a ghost. Then a ghost and a frog-spirit, and then all three, so it was a logical progression!

Yes, that's the one. They have no feeling in them, sort of like nails or claws. Though my head around the bottom of them is a bit sensitive, but not ticklish!

Compared with the other two, certainly. And speaking as a being without horns, I'd have thought there wouldn't be much feeling in them at all.

Are you going to expand on how you helped bring about the destruction of your own planet? Colour me curious.

"Help" might have been an exaggeration but still technically true. It had to happen! The destruction of Alternia, that is. Another version of myself experienced a timeline where it did not, and saw the fate of that timeline... it was not good! So she traveled back, and helped shape my own timeline so that it would progress as needed.

I know you are an adept fibber if ever there was one, or at least that you fooled me. I feel like there's one out of three of those that sounds strictly likely to be true... which makes me suspect that you put it in there aside two very mad-sounding things on purpose.

I also don't know anyone who'd admit to being ticklish if they didn't have to.

But you are right! I put it there to try and mislead. I was banking on my non-human biology seeming both plausible and not exactly common knowledge.

...alright, I have to ask. You know your species name translates really interestingly into English, right? 'Troll' is actually a word in English, a word where one of its meanings refers to a type of person who stirs shit up for fun.

I am well aware of what the word "troll" means to humans, although it has a very different meaning to us. But the act of trolling seems to have the same meaning, especially because I don't think there is anything known to either race as the act of humaning.

It's hard to say if it's coincidence or not, though. At least where I am from.
