VIDEO. UN: LOKI
[ the sound of the wind storm hollows dully against the cave walls. Loki's squidge, Bacon, can half be seen crawling in the confines of his tacky green jacket and over his knee from where he sits, sometimes ducking and squeaking when a particularly large gust hits. to keep it from screaming, Loki offers his fingers absently, which the little squidge pulls on with its pudgy arms before ducking low again. ]
Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]
Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.
Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.
NOTE | Feel free to threadjack if that's your thing!! :****

You got the right of it on the first count. On the second count ... I don't reckon the game extends that far.
no subject
[He smirks.] You're some kind of prodigy sharpshooter, are you?
no subject
[ He shrugs, grinning carelessly. ]
'Prodigy' is a real sweet term, but I'll take it if you're offerin'.

Ha, well, I can't say that being able to hold your own in a shootoff at an age younger than seventeen is something any young person can do. When I was around that age, the greatest thing I ever accomplished was getting my first job, which only involved pens, and not guns. Your childhood sounds much more exciting.
no subject
Yeah, excitin'. That's a good euphemism for my childhood, all right.
[ Also good: violent, desperate, angry, etc. ]
Was never much of a writer, myself.
no subject
Really? I was going to say something akin to "the pen is mightier than the sword", but I'm not entirely sure if the pen is mightier than the bullet...

[UNSURE HOW TO TAKE THAT. He just clears his throat.]
Well, both can be emotionally devastating in their own way, but you have a point. I've never been one for spilling blood, though. I love a good scuffle, but if it carries the risk of killing people? I'm not going to do it.
no subject
It is pretty emotionally devastatin' to die, I expect. At least for a few minutes.
[ He shrugs. ]
Killin' can't always be helped.

..."It's all part of the job", right?

[ A pause. ]
Or anywhere else.
