VIDEO. UN: LOKI
[ the sound of the wind storm hollows dully against the cave walls. Loki's squidge, Bacon, can half be seen crawling in the confines of his tacky green jacket and over his knee from where he sits, sometimes ducking and squeaking when a particularly large gust hits. to keep it from screaming, Loki offers his fingers absently, which the little squidge pulls on with its pudgy arms before ducking low again. ]
Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]
Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.
Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.
NOTE | Feel free to threadjack if that's your thing!! :****

Ah, it really sounds like he's done a lot more exciting things than mine, that's for sure...but since we're from really different places that's probably not too surprising. Some people are going to have more exciting families than others, and all that, huh?

[So do not feel bad about your dad's mediocrity, Shizuo.]
How your speech does remind me though of the son of Laertes! There is a man who can say one thing and mean another, while not a hint of his deception reveals itself in his features, Odysseus, the man of many twists and turns. I confess I love him in friendship and his counsel is not unworthy, but one must always be careful with him.

[And he doesn't feel bad anyway so whatever!! His dad is (probably) a perfectly respectable accountant or something that's led a decent and peaceful life and treats his family well, he can't exactly ask for better than that....
But--oh. 'Odysseus', that's...a really familiar name. Kind of? Shizuo feels like he's definitely heard this one somewhere before, though he can't remember where for the life of him at the moment, even if he pauses and tries to give it a second or so of visible thought. --Though the pause is half for parsing what Achilles is actually saying about the guy, too, what with all these turns of phrases to rearrange here...]
Ah...he's a pretty good liar, you mean? [So Shizuo ventures at length.] You've definitely got a lot more patience than I do when it comes to those kinds of people, then. I have a hard time dealing with that sort of person, so I don't really have any friends like that. [...Well. As far as he knows. Sometimes he has to wonder if Shinra counts somewhere on the spectrum of lying liars who lie, though Shinra's already difficult in his own entirely unique set of ways anyhow, so.] Even if they're decent otherwise, they always seem to get in a lot of trouble for lying so much...

[Another time being after he has passed through the gates of Hades, perhaps. Even after all this time he still does not care to tell the tale of how Odysseus lured him out of hiding there upon Scyros.]
