I suppose it's more... the future itself that's upsetting. [ she doesn't really want to burden him with her worries, but she also feels like she might burst if she doesn't say something. it's been weighing on her mind for some time. ]

Some wonderful things happen to me, for sure... [ her husband, for one thing. her son and daughter, another. ]

But some really terrible things happen, too.
