Imagine that you need to go shopping, send some letters, apply to a couple of new jobs, and look up info on this obscure subject.
You generally had to do all those things in different places, right?
Well, the Internet lets you do all of those things from one place: probably your bed, while you're still in your pajamas holding your phone or your computer and you're debating if you should get up at all today.
