That is true- I have no idea if I would develop one, or what my genetics even entail. Was I coded- or rather, do my genes already contain the allergic strand of DNA? Or will I develop it over time? These are questions I do not think anyone knows. Still, things like "sickness" and "allergy" are things I have never experienced before. I will need to be careful, because I also do not know how my immune system functions, having never been a "child" to be exposed to things.
