A "date" is shopping?

[For that matter, she hopes she's guessing what "shopping" is correctly... In her experience one doesn't shop for clothing so much as call the seamstress but yeah maybe other people... Shopped...]

It has indeed been suggested to me that I expand my wardrobe.
