It's as you've guessed. From the responses I have gotten, it's clear that some feel they'll be met with hostility or harsh judgments if they openly express their views.
Considering what's on the line in our missions, it's understandable to feel strongly about them. At the same time, if we can't talk, we're divided even more than our circumstances already make us.
