Good point. Among all the debates, I'm not sure we paused to consider that we're just one team, and while we know prisoners we'd brought back were apparently involved, I don't recall details on how they escaped. To that end, it could've been another team's prisoners or a lapse in security...or all manner of factors we're not privy to.
I likewise advocated for keeping prisoners and captured some myself. But if we decide that it's all on us, and that only our actions count for better or ill, we're magnifying our own significance past the point that we ought to, bearing what you've said in mind.
