[Video | UN: METTATON] / After the battle, before the puzzle's completion

[Mettaton looks, for lack of a better word, hideous. His hair is frayed and patches of his beautiful chrome finish have been blackened from the flames. Parts of the pink paint on his chest have been eroded from acid. The various nicks and scuffs across his body don't do him any favors either, and neither does the occasional sparks shooting from his shoulder where a neat little pauldron used to be.

Still, he's smiling. It's not very bright, but what isn't there to smile about. They're leaving, aren't they?

In frame, he begins to waggle a bright, red bottle. Whether it's small because of its size or because a large robot is holding it is another story.]

If anyone requires healing before we shuttle ourselves out of here, I found a few potions I'm not going to need. All I ask for is the bottle back when you're finished.

If anyone else can provide service, I'd suggest letting others know here. Goodness knows 6 potions aren't going to help everyone.

You could have entrusted your DEATH to a giant robotic minotaur, so if we're going to be drawing lines in how silly things sound, I wouldn't suggest it at the potions.

[He's not really looking forward to elaborating on how he knows Connor when he slinks over to where Mettaton is by the platform. He's sure he'll have questions, but even away from the public eye he'd prefer to avoid them.]

You know, technically I already had Asher.

[Asher is a much easier topic of conversation. Complex as their relationship has been at least he knows how to explain it.]

[Aww, there's the man of the hour! As promised, Mettaton's been sitting at the edge of the high platform, swinging his legs back and forth. When he catches sight of Oliver, he waves and smiles brightly, about to pick himself up--

Asher is from the same world as Oliver.

...That... That just doesn't seem plausible. Oliver is nice. Oliver is sweet and understanding. Oliver listens and is helpful. Oliver offered to fix the face that Asher beat into an ugly mess--]

Hm. Don't know him.

[He's passing over the potion bottle, his smile a perfectly serene mask.]

Your new friend seems a bit grumpy. I'd keep an eye on him.

[Oliver doesn't seem to notice the thoughts passing through Mettaton's head, taking the potion from him with a grateful smile. It does freeze at the mention of Connor again.]

He has a lot to get used to, but he's a nice guy when you get to know him. I promise.

[Of course getting to know Connor is easier said than done. The man keeps up so many walls even Oliver doesn't know everything. His secrecy causes problems, but now isn't the time to dwell on that. Connor needs him.]
