Simon and I went poking around to see how much of an iron grip the Empress of the Celestial Mountain has over everything, especially in response to the Empress of the Crashing Wave showing up. The thing is: she hasn't set down any firm laws regarding them, because this whole situation is so new. In fact, things are pretty lax considering this is a military-bound land. I had my worries since some of the people I've talked to are gung-ho about decimating the Sea Clan, but it doesn't seem like that actually reflects the opinions of the higher ups.

The people are blood thirsty. The Empress isn't.

That seems like it might be the case on both sides of the fence.

But looking into the Empress and her lawmaking decisions aside, I haven't spoken to any nobles. Not yet, anyway.
