We do not know the exact details of their imprisonment. Even in a society considered "corrupt" as this one is, there is information that must be uncovered before we simply organize a way to free them from prison. The act could endanger Ophelia, and that would be foolhardy.

I do not like the idea of them being incarcerated for their ideals, but I do not assume to know the depths of their character. Just because something is a noble act does not mean it is the wisest act.
