[ Slowly, Alice lowers herself down at the side of the bed. He's fortunate to come back to people he cares for -- family and friends. She's happy that he isn't alone in that regard, though right now, she can't imagine what sort of pain he's enduring being far from home. Quietly, with some hesitation, Alice breaks her usual disregard and dislike of touch by briefly resting a hand over his.

It's the closest she'll ever get to outright hugging him or anyone else for that matter. This is cruel, it's unfair. How can things be the way the are to uproot people from their homes? Silently, Alice sits there, pulling her hand back in her lap. Anything she does now feels so helpless to fix this.

But that doesn't mean she won't try. ]


I think that they'll know what to do to ensure their safety, because you do so well to help others.
