[It's a couple of days before the mission will take precedence, and Laedo has finally recovered from his embarrassing childhood-throwback. The tone around the castle has been sombre, embarrassed... and he's learned a few things in his months trying to fit in among humans.
One of those things he's learned is that bipeds motherfucking love a dragonback ride... and given he needs to pack so little, the idea strikes him to offer, if only to fill his days and cheer those up who have never had their flat feet leave the ground.
So here he is, reclining in the sunny courtyard, scudding clouds chugging along the fragment of sky above and behind him as he peers into his jewel, and the network at large.]
Who among you would like to touch the sky? I do not offer often, but I am willing to trade the pleasure for later favours... providing you can contain yourselves not to dig in heels or pull at hair.
[Still, his tone is less arch than it has been in the past. He's been working hard to gain perspective. He doesn't want to start this next mission on the wrong foot.]

Are... are you....a dragon? [He finally speaks after gawking at the video feed of Laedo.... what's listening to anything else you just said.]

So it is that Sabo sees the very vaguely feline-visage of Laedo focus both long, velvety ears on his jewel, and then pin them flat back against his skull. He doesn't bare his fangs, but only by dint of will. He does close his eyes, one marred and one not, similar to the aghast man, and after a moment, arch his long, golden neck so that he can place his muzzle between both hands.]
Technically, by inter-galactic standards, I would suppose that term is adequate, but I can assure you, sir, that I do not appreciate that name any more than I can imagine you would enjoy being called an ape.

That's... so cool. I've always wanted to meet something that would only exist in myth. [He pauses taking a gander at the covered muzzle of this creature. He's pretty... ignorant, sad to say.] You breathe fire, right? Can you fly? [Bombarding poor Laedo with all these questions. You're so respectful, Sabo.]

I also find humans taste delicious, especially the pale-haired variety.
[This, with an ascerbic edge so salty it would fit right in with vinegar.]
Why don't you come out into the courtyard so that we can make a friendship?

[He listened this time around, every word as it's kind of a warning for him. His eyes bulging as Laedo's narrowing eyes were on the screen. What is this dragon's problem???]
I more like marvel at you guys? It's not looking down upon you or anything. I truly respect that. [His hands gesture at that moment, trying to reason with this aggravated creature.]
It would be fun to be friends though, if you're not eating me. [Not that he can be eaten but seeing as dragons breathe fire as is, the fire would prove ineffective anyway.]

You should probably not use so much fancy talking. Maybe you'll lighten up more if you were to be more accepting. [He crosses his arms, furrowing his brows at Laedo.]
I still want to be friends with you. I'm not missing that chance. [He is very stubborn in that category.]

[He hasn't called him dragon more than once! Lizard? Zero. What's his deal anyway?]
Perhaps I want to safely presume you do have a name? Or an alias of some sort? [His attitude lightens up then.... because well this creature of intelligence has gotten some stubborn, but he gets even more stubborn into some kind of persuasion. One of his eyes lights up a heated flame.]

While, for a moment, the creature considers leading Sabo on for a yarn, in the end his bald-faced pride leaves him giving an honest answer.]
My name is Laedo Ledo, son of Laurea and Guard of the asandus rank and file... previous to this employment. You may call me Laedo, teammate of Audentes, though that does not make us friends.
[Oh no, Sabo, Laedo has seen this tactic before. Where thou treadest, a certain earnest skeleton hath gone before.]

[This works well with him? Being on at least decent terms. He's not about trashing an opportunity.... especially with someone like him. He pushes his hat at an angle so that part of his face is covered.]
I'm happy to at least know you a little. So you're free to call me anytime. [Even if he doesn't do this with everyone, it's still a simple courtesy for him.] We could meet up or chat later if we're on other missions together.

Sabo. The name's Sabo. [From trying to being friendly to bring this 'aloofness' he cuts the communication early before Laedo could say anything else. He ... still lacks manners, as he would expect.]
