Hello everyone! This is Reika.

I have the ability to teach techniques known as Blood Arts to other people. They're kind of like 'weapon special moves'. If you have a sword or spear that you're used to wielding, it can be used to shoot pressure waves out from it or strengthen your swings.

[ There's a short clip attached here of her holding a baseball bat and using it to fire off a rapid series of silver crescents. ]

With the situation back in Oska, I'd like to help distribute this skill to as many people as possible. It takes time to train and learn, but I hope it'll be enough to have it ready when we arrive.

Please let me know if you're keen. I'll be here to answer any questions you have!

[ ooc: Reika can teach people Blood Arts! Right now it's restricted to humans due to how it's imprinted into the person's cells, but I'll be looking into getting an upgrade to that via AC bank. Each skill costs 75 coins in the bank too, but I can help cover the cost if you'd like. ]

This is Sieglinde Sullivan, the Green Witch.

I shall not waste my time or yours with much pleasantries. The situation is dire, as you know.

Several of our number have been working tirelessly to develop a vaccine to this virus, and hopefully a cure.

Tests of the vaccine are proceeding smoothly, and we have seen positive results so far- it may be available within one or two weeks time if all continues to go well and no adverse effects present themselves.

I cannot guarantee nor estimate potential cures, and it is not my intent to elevate your hopes, but know that we have several leads we are exploring. Samples of blood, particularly from those of the non-humans within our ranks who are or may be immune to the virus, are much needed at this time if you have not already been solicited.

To protect against the possibility of contamination, four of us have set up in separate locations.

Urahara Kisuke, in the hospital laboratories. Peter Parker, in the university laboratories. Sonia Nevermind, at her apartment residence, 20B of Woodhurst Court. I myself have relocated from the hospital to a residential office, at 45 Pinehurst Drive.

Samples or supplies are welcome there. The others may speak for themselves, but in my case, I will not tolerate any distractions or intrusions, so please do not abuse the knowledge of that address.

[ooc; just a note from some of the Team Science members so that characters can have a better IC idea of what's going down on that front! Stay tuned for more OOC and IC info on/near the 25th!]

[With all the information coming out, it's apparent to Keith and Lance that one big elephant in the room has been ignored: the infection among the recruits themselves. Keith is tired and on edge, as he needs nothing to do with the infection to be cranky. Lance is jittery, too. But they have to talk about that elephant before it gets too late.

And for some of them, it might be. That's what Keith is really afraid of right now.]

Hey. It's Keith.

and ya boy, lance! [Because things are already pretty doom and gloom as it stands, and maybe things could use a little lightening up? Or something...

It’s a little more difficult to differentiate between people in a group message like this, but it’s a better idea to get something down on text in case they need to refer to it later, and anyone who knows either of the boys can probably tell them apart pretty easily through diction alone.]

we know your mind-phones have been pretty busy lately, but theres something keith and i wanted to talk to you guys about.

Before we get a move on in attacking Zymandis' agent, we need to look at our own numbers. A lot of us are sick. Maybe less than I thought. Or maybe more. Either way, we have to know who's sick and make a plan to help our own. And I'm serious about HELPING. Not putting someone out of their misery or any of the other stupid stuff I've heard from some of this team. We need to stop this disease. We need to help our own. Once everyone's BETTER, we'll make a plan for what to do next as a team.

[It's harsher than necessary but likely less harsh than how it might be normally, given Keith's frequently frustrated tone of voice. Text mitigates some of it, even if his frustration definitely does become CAPITAL LETTERS.

Lance, meanwhile, is quite eager to gloss over that sharp reprimand because seriously guys — kumbaya.]

yeeeeeah, so — helping! getting a head count is definitely ideal. we cant afford to be silent on this and we definitely CANT be alone right now, cuz every one of us affected and on our own can be a huge risk to everyone here. so we were thinking… since the city shut it down, we can use the middle school. those of us infected can stay there while we wait for our people to find that cure. like a quarantine safe house.. i know its not ideal, but its something. especially for those who dont have any other contingency plans.

[A pause. Well. May as well get the ball rolling, right?]

ill be there.

( ooc; p.s. there is an information plotting post for the quarantine space! )

[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]

Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.

[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]

We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?

[ ooc. PS, maya, hanzo, and mccree might show up in your threads. feel free to threadjack as well! ]

Well, Audentes. Things have certainly taken a turn towards Sweeps Week, haven't they?

[Who's this stunningly handsome, yet unfortunately badly lit human...? Obviously, it's Mettaton, darlings, learn how to read. But wherever could he be with such hideous lighting?]

Riots, infected, and secrets, oh my... While we're out here doing our best to keep both the townspeople and ourselves safe, I thought it'd be a good time to share with the class what we might have found. And without having to play me for it!! Lucky you. [Wink.

The "camera" gets turned away from Mettaton (a crime, he knows), now clearly showing the inside of Woodhurst Watch HQ. Specifically, inside the head editor's room. He expertly pans it from the mess on the floor that the infected and townsfolk left in their rush to head out towards the top of the desk he's sitting at. On the desk, next to where he's perched his legs (you're welcome), are some scattered sheets of paper. He's focusing his communications jewelry on one in particular.]

"Local cancer patient attacks doctor during regularly scheduled chemotherapy appointment." How dramatic. But certainly interesting, isn't it? [He's audibly tapping his fingers on the desk, just out of frame.] Can't say I know entirely what to make of it, but I'm sure checking any records in the hospital would be a good start.

Also. [He turns his necklace back to himself.] Since I and, I'm only assuming, the rest of those inorganic among us aren't particularly interesting to those infected, we might prove ourselves useful when it comes to... Well. Anything. Can't be infected, won't even attract attention... [He puts a hand to his chest and sighs.] I never thought I'd find an audience I couldn't captivate. But! Here we are and the show must go on.

[Slightly more serious. It's obvious there are specific, less fortunate people on his mind.] If there's anyone out there that needs help, let me know. I'm no superhero, but...

...Why waste a talent when you have it?

[ with the new mission on the horizon, and a rather desperate need to keep busy and distracted, lance has decided to put together this informational psa for all those who may benefit from it.

so. like. maybe two of you. ]

Yo! So with Woodhurst coming 'round the corner, many of you probably haven't had the chance to brush up on all six films of the Brawn of the Dead series but that's okay! Your resident Zombie Apocalypse Expert is here to help you out.

[ he's watched pretty much all the zombie films available on earth, ok, he's practically a PhD. ]

While it's pretty much impossible to gain my level of expertise in the single week we have left, I managed to break down the most important things to remember during a Zombie Apocalypse. [ complete with handy, dandy infographics! (blame whoever got them the drawing app ok.) ]

Hello, everyone. This is Kagura Reika. I'm a recent arrival to Audentes; I would like to request for assistance regarding a few things.

First is acquiring a sword or a weapon of a similar size. My own was deemed unusable, and I'm looking for a replacement as well as anyone who might be willing to train with me during the downtime we have now.

Secondly, I'm seeking to learn how to cook proper food beyond simple meals. Please let me know if you can do so and have some time to spare, I'll repay any help given to me.

Thank you.

Good evening.

[Though the subject matter behind his reasoning for addressing the networks was far different now than the first time he had the previous month, his even, dispassionate tone of voice is exactly the same.]

I've come to realize that the time in which we will be returning back to Oska is very close to—if not exactly on—the winter solstice. [He's used to a duo of sing-songy fae stopping by his house and giving him forewarning. He actually had to use a calendar this time.] Though I doubt all worlds follow the same laws and traditions, it is a day of great importance in my own. There are several rituals I am... curious if anyone would wish to help me carry out, to give us auspicious passage through the winter months.

As I don't think the old gods of winter have any particular sway over these distant realms, I am fairly confident nothing will be dangerous.

Please let me know if you might be interested, or if you might have any questions.

It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.

If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.

In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.

Let's see how we can help each other improve.

This is Julius Visconti reporting in. It's been so long since I last spoke up. I figured that I should say something in case anyone was worrying. There's nothing wrong on on my end, thankfully. [He just went out for five months straight...on a mission he didn't even enjoy all that much.]

Anyways, let's move on. [Enough about that!!]

Today I'd like to ask about weapons. In your opinion, what's the most efficient and effective weapon?

Personally I prefer using assault guns for ranged attacks. We all come from different places so I expect to hear unique answers.

Alternatively, if you aren't armed with a weapon and wish to learn how to fight I could be of some assistance. You can meet up with me at the local trading post. That's all for now. Thanks for your time.

[If that train ride was any indication, the dangers noted in their dossiers were absolutely real. Seeing so many of the Qorral armed only confirmed the necessity for more coordination than they'd had on the previous mission.

Being the control freak police officer that he was, Hijikata wouldn't waste any time setting something up.]

This mission needs coordination, there's a lot of 'bad land' between us and the Deemers. [Could they hire locals to escort them? Maybe. At a price that was sure to gouge their pockets.]

We'll need to travel in groups. Each one should have several who can fight, and at least one who can negotiate. No one goes alone.

I'll organize them if necessary, but you guys can use this to find your own too. [He doesn't want to hold everyone's damn hands. Just most of them? He'll step in if he deems it necessary.]

So reply with the following information:

1) Name
2) Skill Set
3) Availability
4) Supplies in Possession
5) Supplies Needed / Special Accommodations

[It's a couple of days before the mission will take precedence, and Laedo has finally recovered from his embarrassing childhood-throwback. The tone around the castle has been sombre, embarrassed... and he's learned a few things in his months trying to fit in among humans.

One of those things he's learned is that bipeds motherfucking love a dragonback ride... and given he needs to pack so little, the idea strikes him to offer, if only to fill his days and cheer those up who have never had their flat feet leave the ground.

So here he is, reclining in the sunny courtyard, scudding clouds chugging along the fragment of sky above and behind him as he peers into his jewel, and the network at large.]

Who among you would like to touch the sky? I do not offer often, but I am willing to trade the pleasure for later favours... providing you can contain yourselves not to dig in heels or pull at hair.

[Still, his tone is less arch than it has been in the past. He's been working hard to gain perspective. He doesn't want to start this next mission on the wrong foot.]

[It's King's device that begins recording, but he's not the only one in view. Both he and Haise Sasaki are planted in a corner of Oska's library, surrounded by books that they are no longer able to decipher. The books in their laps are clearly only frustrating them, and the rest represent a lifetime of squinting. A plate with a half-eaten cheese sandwich sits between them, and Haise is nursing a cup of coffee. He looks like he needs it. They both do, though King doesn't even bother trying to hide how fed up he is. Once he's sure the recording is go, he nods to Haise and begins a dialogue.

Then the text begins to appear.
]

Audentes.

The library is completely useless right now, so we have a question for all of you instead.

[Haise, who is following the text as it appears, steps in here. His tone is noticeably less curt.]

We got to talking back on Zeta-12, and ever since, we've been wondering... How many of you guys have heard stories or myths about a place called Camelot? If you'd be willing to share them, we'd like to compare.

[This time Haise nods, finished, but King throws in one last detail.]

Especially if it's not just a myth.

[As King reaches for that cheese sandwich, the video ends.]
