This is Julius Visconti reporting in. It's been so long since I last spoke up. I figured that I should say something in case anyone was worrying. There's nothing wrong on on my end, thankfully. [He just went out for five months straight...on a mission he didn't even enjoy all that much.]

Anyways, let's move on. [Enough about that!!]

Today I'd like to ask about weapons. In your opinion, what's the most efficient and effective weapon?

Personally I prefer using assault guns for ranged attacks. We all come from different places so I expect to hear unique answers.

Alternatively, if you aren't armed with a weapon and wish to learn how to fight I could be of some assistance. You can meet up with me at the local trading post. That's all for now. Thanks for your time.

Well, I'd say the most effective weapon is Voltron.

But most of the people haven't heard about it.

[Most, but not all. Some have. Really annoying people have. Which makes him wish he could count them out because they might be too annoying to know about Voltron, but whatever.]

You're right, I haven't heard of that weapon before either.

What does a Voltron do? [Tell him in detail please, he's interested.]

Sure, I don't mind explaining. [But where to begin? Olivia didn't know what a robot was, so he likes to play it safe:] Before I get going with it, do you know what a robot is?

Of course. They're mechanical constructs created by hand.

I'm no expert on robotics however. [He just knows general information about them.]

Yeah, I wouldn't assume that everyone knows about them. [Just saying.]

Anyway, Voltron is made up of five separate robotic lions. The lions themselves seem sentient on their own, but they still require a pilot. The five pilots join together and form Voltron.

It's the strongest weapon in the universe.

[A beat, because he's been taught about the multiverse enough that he'll stop being stubborn about it:]

Well, my universe, anyway.

You're right, not everyone knows what a robot is. I see now. Strength from unity is a fearsome foe.

[Such a unique weapon that doesn't even exist in his world. It may as well be the strongest, as far as he's concerned.]

Is there a reason why those machines have the form of a lion?

[Probably. That's what Keith is thinking. Why didn't any of them ask? Why did they just take the whole lion thing for granted? By time Keith had been with them freeing Blue, he had been used to it.

Well, anyway.]

I think it's because lions are cool. Why else?

[Nailed it.]

Fair enough. Lions are usually a representation of courage and strength.

As you said-- they're "cool". It's not a bad choice. [Remind him of how Fenrir's got a wolf as their symbol. They can't let go of their animal motifs.]

I only asked because sometimes there's meaning behind a weapon's appearance.

[Well, he'll give a little on the cool factor—]

The lions are alien technology. Like a lot of what we have here, but most of the aliens are dead, sans their princess and an adviser. I don't get the feeling that they know everything. [That might be giving Coran too much credit. Keith recalls their training mission not long before they went to find the secret Galra base.

Yeah, he is definitely giving him too much credit. Ugh, not a place to bring it up, not a place to bring it up—]

I guess the bigger question is why lions are in space. Uh, away from my planet. Most of the alien species we've come across are decidedly ... not what we're used to on Earth.

Yeah, not everyone knows everything. Focus on the details too much and you'll start losing the bigger picture.

[He nod twice.]

Alien technology though? Now that's not something you see casually. The fact that you know all this must mean that you're deeply involved with it back in your world.

We found the first lion on our home planet, but the others were kinda ... all over.

To tell you the truth, it's all a pretty new experience for us. We haven't been at it for that long.

Makes you wonder why the lions appeared at different locations instead of them being all in the same place.

You'll find the answers you need in time. I'm certain of it.

I think I know that part—they were hidden so our enemies couldn't find them. The really curious part is how they knew to hide them in time, but ... it's not like we're about to find that out here.

Either way ... I think anyone would agree that ALASTAIR would be better off for having lions.

Most of us would agree. Having something that strong would benefit us in many ways. [He nods.]

Do these lions have any weakness? [Realistically speaking there's no such thing as being invincible. ]

I think so—a lot of us are inexperienced pilots, so sometimes the lions have to pick up the slack. [He's not one of them, but he knows Hunk and Pidge never thought they'd be in charge of actually flying anything.]

So, it's pretty easy to overwhelm them, especially if they haven't come together to form Voltron. A lot of us are also new to the lion thing, and working together, so there's a bit of that.

Uh, I guess that's more of a weakness in the pilots? But it does matter. They aren't unbreakable robots, even if I wish they were.

That makes sense. A robot is only as good as the pilot inside of it. Do you think it's difficult to fight under those conditions?

Robot or not, you're still risking yourself out there. [And not everyone can easily put their life on the line. He wonders how Keith manages to do it.]

Of course it's difficult. But that doesn't mean that we're just going to quit.

Too many people need us out there. The universe had gone without Voltron for ten thousand years, and a lot got messed up in its absence.

You're right. Everyone's got to do their part even if it's not easy.

We'd better get you back to your world as soon as possible. The people there need you.

[This Voltron business sounds really serious!]

Honestly ... I don't know why ALASTAIR isn't looking at my universe.

It needs a lot of help.

There's always a chance we might be sent there. It's slim, but entirely possible.

I want to help out your world too if possible. We shouldn't leave it as it is.

I just hope their weird ... machine doesn't say differently. [He thinks that's how it works??? He's still new to this stuff, even if it's been a few months.]

Weird machine? We might not know all the details involved, sure.

Strange contraptions could possibly be behind this. Do you think that's the case?
