So we are to fight. [Odinson is freshly bathed, his hair tied back in a knot. There's a new light in his eyes at the promise of this. Killing robots is a task well-suited to him. This he can do.]

Being newly-come to this group, I know few of you, and few of you know me. I would know the skills and knowledge of those I will fight alongside. Or die alongside, if this enemy is truly so formidable. [The half-smile that follows indicates he doesn't quite believe that's a possibility.]

Myself, I am Odinson, of Asgardia, God of Thunder. [There's the slightest hesitation there, for anyone who'll notice such a thing. Something unsaid.] I have fought across the nine realms of my universe, and will fight here with hammer or blade or my fists until the enemy is routed or I am slain. If any wish to spar or learn to fight in the days before we are summoned to Oska, you have only to call on me.

Likewise, any tacticians or those with knowledge of Oska or the enemy, share your knowledge. We ought have some plan before we are shipped back. [Is that sarcasm???]

I see you have met the fair Olivia, a former disciple of mine. You will find that there are quite a few healers amongst us, some who were such in their own lands and some who have been gifted such abilities by ALASTAIR.

Both serve us well, in times such as these.

[He squints, curious.] ALASTAIR gifts abilities to some? What kind?

ALASTAIR is shockingly free with gifts to those within their ranks, which in the case of spells come delivered as scrolls. A fair many of our number have learned healing this way, as well as control of elements or more... creative abilities.

[Odinson doesn't need extra abilities, but it's nice to hear that those without powers can find some way of helping or protecting themselves.]

Your powers, I take it, were yours before you joined this team?

I was healer and Green Witch before my recruitment, yes.

[She might not be talking to Loki right now, but. He did prove a good role model when it came to being truthful.]

Green witch? [Odinson's not exactly well-read on the different types of magic out there, but this is one he's sure he's never even heard of.]

It is the title inherited from my ancestor, who first made the pact with the werewolves of our wood for protection from the persecutions.

Not at all. My line simply devoted themselves to the manufacture of a spell to prolong their existence in exchange for their protection.

But I have been with ALASTAIR near two years now, so if you have any questions or find yourself in need of information, it would be an honor to assist.

In that time has there been any direction from ALASTAIR as to how we ought to organise our forces? Direct our abilities in dealing with our enemy? Or are we simply left to ourselves?

This may not be what you wish to hear, but we rarely receive word from ALASTAIR directing any person to take charge or giving us specific orders beyond details of the mission parameters...

This leads to about as much smooth cooperation as you might imagine.
