[ Wherever Undyne is, there's a good view of the lake. She's had her ups and downs lately, but at the moment, she's looking very up, with a grin of excessively sharp and almost shark-like teeth. ]

So ALASTAIR doesn't want to lead us. Or help us out on missions. Or do anything even a little bit helpful for us! Maybe if they did, people wouldn't end up dead.

[ There's an I told you so in there somewhere, though she's probably not alone. After talking to Uruz and some of the other more tenured ALASTAIR employees, it seems like they're on their own to keep things together from now on. Those evaluations stung her hard, because she knows she can be part of something better. But this isn't the Underground, and King Asgore's not here to call the shots. And if ALASTAIR won't do it either, then who will? ]

So that means we have to help ourselves. We're gonna have to find a better way of making decisions as a unit. If everyone just does whatever they want, then we're going to keep getting a 6 out of 10! I want 10 out of 10 next time, or maybe even 11 out of 10!

If we work together, we can make it happen and get perfect marks. So, let's hear it! I know there are some other leader types out there. Wasn't someone else asking about that before?! But I already know how I'd do it, but I wanna know how you would do it!

[ Well. It's worthy a try, anyway. If nothing else, Papyrus will probably be proud of her... ]

Undyne. If they can't find me, they can come find Papyrus. Tall, dorky skeleton. He's pretty weird actually, but he's a good monster. He can help, or he'll at least know where to find me.

[ He won't mind her volunteering him, right? He's the closest thing she's got to a second-in-command, and she could do a lot worse. ]

I'll admit to being the first member of Papyrus' Fanclub but huh. Didn't know he'd have some kind of skill in him.

Now I know you're lying to me, I'm the first member of the Papyrus' Fanclub! He's got a very particular set of skills, okay?

[ There's a pause, before she veers back into introduction territory. ] What's your name, anyway?

[sanicspeed]

[Wait a second.]

...wait. He's the kind of guy to tell everyone they were the first, isn't he? So no one has to feel late.

[It makes sense. He seems combatively nice.]

Um, call me Barry. Barry Allen.

[aspearation]

That's Papyrus alright.

[ --wait, was he being literal? It wouldn't surprise her. ]

So you're a human, right?

[sanicspeed]

I hope I am. There might be a problem if I wasn't human.

[aspearation]

Is there something wrong with not being human??

[ She knows he's joking, but she just wants to rib him back. That's what you get for trying to make friends with Undyne; it's her way of saying she thinks you're okay. ]

I gotta ask around here! Some of you look exactly like humans but you're not.

What? No! I mean, I totally have non-human friends...

[BARRY.]

Well yeah, we're friends now, aren't we?

[ Yeah, just like that. It's kind of a monster thing. ]

For all intents and purposes, that could uh...probably work out?

[aspearation]

Probably? I don't think there's any probably about it, right? Either it works or it doesn't!

You'd be surprised. I haven't exactly been the best type of friend in the past...sort of. It's hard to describe.
