[Sakura is sitting on her bed at the inn, stroking a tiny lion cub, courtesy of one Gilgamesh. The last few days have been rather exhausting to say the least, but she's been doing her best to get out and help, while trying to keep in mind Adrien's advice to take a break now and then. Which now is one of those times, as she comes back inside to check on her new pet.]

I really should think of a name for you, you know. I can't just keep calling you 'cub-san'. I'm not sure if Kero-chan might get jealous or confused if I named you after him though....Maybe from that movie? Ah, what does everyone else think? Graham-san, everyone, any ideas?

[And now for the real reason she turned her necklace on.]

Also....um, what happens with birthdays? Do we still get older with ALASTAIR and all? I never thought to ask before, but....[Well. April 1st is her birthday.] Well, it seems important, right? To figuring how old we are and if we need to get presents for our friends. When is everyone else's birthdays anyway?

Well...easier to work together. Better that than be fighting among ourselves, right? We wouldn't get anything done if we were.

[Even if...some decisions, some actions are already questioned. Their previous assessment from ALASTAIR about their actions in Chantes. Or rather, the actions on one in particular who took matters into their own hands.]

That's true. A chaotic situation wouldn't be good for multiple reasons.

[ His voice becomes a little lighter at her next words. ]

It at least sounds as thought you've thought this situation through.

Thought it through? I'm not so sure about that. Well, maybe a little. I have been here a while now.

[Far, far longer than she's been away from home before.]

[ A child in a situation like this for a long time...? ]

I see. You have my sympathies.

It's okay. I mean, I've made lots of friends here that I wouldn't have met back home!

[It's Sakura. Of course she's trying to see the positives.]

I suppose that is true for everyone. There's also many places we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise, too.

Right? We can see whole other worlds with ALASTAIR. And to think back home I'd never even been out of Japan.....

Japan? Is that the country you were from?

[keystaff]

It is. I miss it, but I think I'm getting used to this and managing okay.

Doing that much is commendable. At least, you're not alone in feeling like that at all.

[keystaff]

No. I'm sure it's the same for everyone else too. We're all needing to adjust and figure this out. We're in this together.

That's true. We're all a team.

I've learned before that it's best to be realistic, but... Optimism doesn't harm anything, either.

[keystaff]

We have to heave optimism. If we don't have hope, we wouldn't make any effort to set things right. Would we? So.....we have to.

It's good to have hope. As long as you don't overdo the optimism.

[It just might. There's a reason the Light card initially resided in Sakura herself.]

Don't overdo it? I know some people might still think I'm...childish, but. I still think we have to try keep positive. To have hope.

... I don't think it's childish to have optimism.

[ In fact, in this situation it's... impressive. ]

[keystaff]

You don't? Some seem to.

[Particular Servants, mostly. But at the same time, others, or some part of them too, seem to want to cherish and protect said optimism.]

As long as you aren't completely naive about with what you're being optimistic about.

[keystaff]

Not naive about it....I'm not sure if I am. Maybe. But if I am, I'm sure I'd learn as I get older, right?

True. You are still young. But... that good head on your shoulders is bound to help you learn faster than others, too.

Ah -- thank you. I hope so. I guess we'll see.
