If anyone knows how to melt gold, get in contact with me.

[because someone lost her fire powers. yep, that's it. for the most part...

but a brief addition to the message appears a second later.]

If your suggestion is to make something phallic out of it, feel free to still reply. That way I'll know who to mark for execution.

Fire, usually. I've heard intense heat can melt metals at various temperatures, before.

There are professions centered around it, in fact.

You don't need to inform them of the materials rather than ask for the use of a forge if one is present.

It would take more time with an improper base though it's still possible. A clay crucible may work well enough just for melting. In terms of molding it, you'll need a cast of clay. That aside, you'll need a hammer and a means of shaping whatever it is you want shaped. You'll need an anvil.

If you just want to save money, then speaking with the Nalawi directly may be your better option. Spending time to find the materials and experience to bypass relying on their expertise may be more expensive in the long run.

[It helped when one needed to know how to make use of garbage as effectively as possible. Living in a city of discarded goods and people meant understanding the salvaging process was paramount to many other ordinary aspects of life.

--As for negotiation, that may or may not have been part of his home environment as well.]

Experience is one of two vital necessities to obtaining knowledge.

Is that sufficient enough?

I don't benefit from boasting.

Yes, I have knowledge of a number of aspects of bartering. It doesn't imply skill or talent. Would you take advice even if it were that vague?

That's hardly a flourish. I can do better. That said, I prefer not to assume that you'll take my advice wholeheartedly. I've offered you information. You don't know me, so it's up to you to determine the worth of it all.

I'm only asking for you to consider it carefully even if we aren't acquainted.

I'm surprised as well. You don't exercise very much caution with strangers if this conversation is indicative of your behavior.

[It was a very generous estimate. He only really took a single dimensional perspective of her, there.]

You've declared your intent to traffic and perform metalwork with at least a small amount of gold, which is typically an expensive substance to work with.

You've already given away a lot more information than what would traditionally be expected of a cautious person.

You and I share two grossly different perspectives towards the word 'cautious'.
