[ Masamune drops at being suddenly let go, a small yip as he unceremoniously hits the ground—he may have seemed to not be struggling or resisting, but that apparently hadn't been the real case. In a way, it makes sense that he had managed to apply some sort of artificial force to counter against the pain and brace himself. With the source suddenly gone, however, everything collapses.

Masamune takes a deep breath before pulling himself into a sitting position rather suddenly and forces a smile as if none of that just happened. No way did the little dragon just pretty much back plant from simply being let go after that. Nothing so undignified could have occurred. Ha...!

Just lovin' it. All good. I've been living off pain since I was a kid. Nothing better to remind you that you're alive when all else fails. It was a nice rush.

[ Another deep breath is taken and exhaled sharply. This time, he doesn't make any attempt to display his prideful plumage in the face of a powerful individual. Instead, he simply looks strangely tired, an expression worn that a small child might don when confused at being tired and in need of a nap. It's a small cranky fuss of a frown that disappears rather quickly when he looks at Koltira.

Masamune is struck by the apologetic expression—either Koltira's an excellent actor or really means it. Both would deserve the same response here so he continues to withhold any unpleasant words he might have had to say.

That was my fault. I should have known you had an ability like that. You were obviously desperate, too, so... yeah, my bad. [ His smile is more sincere now as his heart rate settles. Right, he should actually clarify to reassure. ] I've never felt anything like it before, but it's done no harm. Maybe being tired is an unfamiliar feeling to you, but, to me, the end result feels no different than pushing your limits during a fight or something.

It's absolutely OK.
