[ So, that relatively cheerful guy dancing with everybody on the beach--he's gone. He's out of here. Koltira leans forward, his expression pained, jaw clenched. There's a flat piece of wood on the ground beside him with the start of an intricate filigree carved into it, but he's set it aside. He's focused entirely on the jewelry. ]
I feel unwell.
[ His guttural, echoing voice is rougher than usual; he sounds like jagged rocks scraping against each other, and the strange ethereal reverberation does nothing to better the effect.
He's experiencing, for the first time in years, something like fatigue. It's discomfiting, impossible. His kind does not tire. And yet here he is, feeling--not exhausted, but legitimately weary. ]
The ocean is not rife with magic, but it provides some sustenance.
[ He shakes his head, as though trying to clear his vision. Some sustenance. Not enough. ]
If anyone has found other sources, I would know of them.
[ His voice drops to an almost feral growl. ]
Or a solution.

Yet another entity made of magic, then...?
[ he's assuming, anyway. if it was just an inconvenience, he imagines the response would be far different despite not being much familiar with this teammate. either way, masamune's voice becomes more focused for his next question. ] How long do you think you can hold out like this?
no subject
Not precisely. My body is flesh and blood, yet bound together by a number of magical forces.
[ He sits back, listlessly, against a tree. ]
I do not know. I know only that I feel tired, and I have not felt such a thing in years. I suppose worse may be yet to come.

What are the odds that someone else with the same idea as you is the reason all this magic seems to be going missing so suddenly?

Yes. The necromancy that binds me is ... unraveling, somehow.

well it doesn't work out so well. )
A solution would be the best option, for both us and the natives. If they're right about Nalanni, she might be the best place to start, but I have no idea how to go about doing that.
no subject
Nor do I. I have done some exploring, but found little of note. My sense for these things feels dulled here, as well: I can feel the draining, but I cannot pinpoint the source.

Unwell, or something else? If it's simple fatigue I would suggest rest, but I don't think it's that simple.

There is no rest for someone like me.

Koltira? Is this like some magic sickness? You don't think you caught it from the deer guys, do you?

No, Mabel. It is something to do with whatever trouble plagues this world. I think.
