[ Undyne had said she wanted more guidance from ALASTAIR. Here she is, with more guidance, and she doesn’t know if she likes it. Looking more ragged than ever, she’s standing with Pearl, with the volcano Nalalona in the background. ]

Alright chumps, listen up, it’s time for some teamwork! ALASTAIR has some ideas about what we can do to get the volcano going again, so everyone can get their powers back. ...it’s going to involve a bomb.

[Pearl clears her throat, despite the fact her body is flickering in and out of view at some points during the video. The Gem stands tall as she gestures back to the volcano.]

This is correct. ALASTAIR has entrusted us with schematics of creating a bomb and a catapult. It’s up to us to gather the necessary supplies and assemble them.

They have observed a high level of tectonic plate activity here, near the Nalalona volcano. With enough force -- the bomb in this case -- we can possibly trigger an eruption and restore the natives’ Gifts, along with our own magical abilities. The volcano’s opening is large enough for us to hit our mark with the bomb. It’s up to us to put it all together.

We can’t afford to not try. Look around you, half our team relies on magic just to exist. This isn’t just about helping the natives use magic anymore, this about saving ourselves. If you don’t use magic, good for you, but if you have a heart, you’ll understand why this is important, and why if I catch anyone slacking off, they’ll be answering to my spear about why they don't think it's important. Got it?!

[Pearl glances to Undyne and offers her a weak smile. The situation they were all facing was quite dire. She faces the feed again.]

I know we have the ability to make this work. And we will, if we all work together on this. Every little bit helps!

I already said I knew we had to stick with the plan we have.

We don't have a choice. All I'm asking is that we figure out how to make sure everyone's safe while we build it so nothing happens if something goes wrong.

[ and he narrows his eyes. ]

I think this plan is bogus and dangerous, but don't say that I don't wanna save the people that're suffering--I already said a few times I'll go with it as long as we're careful. You're just not listening.

[ He's hitting all of her already-frayed nerves, and she's already scared and frustrated... ]

You're not listening. You want to make sure everyone's safe? What's your idea to keep everyone safe, then?! I don't get any of this science crap, so why don't you look at the plans, tell me what it is you think is gonna go wrong, and what you want done about it. Or you can go bother ALASTAIR about it, and make them give us a plan. I'm not wasting my time with finding solutions to a problem you won't even explain besides saying it's dangerous while you accuse me of not wanting to protecting people

Protecting people is what I do, but I'm not gonna be protecting much of anything as a pile of dust.

[ he wants to say i can't do anything but listen, i can barely see thanks to this mess! but he bites his tongue. he's not going to disclose his own struggles when they're lesser than hers--what good would it do?

instead, he tips his chin up. ]

Sure, I'll look at the plans, if you can give them to me. They should've given everyone that information, anyway, so this kind of thing--everyone dogpiling on you and Pearl--didn't happen.

Since the volcano erupted pretty often, the natives probably have some kind of system in place already. If they don't, at least we can help some... plus, since they've been using their gifts for a lot of stuff, they might've been using them for when the volcano erupts to keep them safe. If they do, we'll have to change it up to help them. Especially for the recruits who're weakened 'cause of this mess, they should take cover, too. We'll have to ask people to stay in their houses, or the sturdiest places they can--who knows if it'll erupt the same way?

A normal eruption like that probably'll spew ash, rocks and gas everywhere, probably even worse than normal since it's a bomb instead of a regular explosion. The people who're working on the catapult, if they're actually staying outside, they need some kind of mask. All that ash and gas can reach a long way, and if you breathe it in it could seriously hurt you. If it really does bring us back our powers, then there's not gonna be a lot of trouble--but if it doesn't, we're gonna have to band together to make sure people know if it's safe.

Clean water's something pretty important, too, if this doesn't work and we have to stay inside while everything settles.

There's a lot of people saying this plan is bogus--but not a lot of people can say "no, I won't help" if you're asking them to make sure people're safe in case something goes wrong. Even if they're not helping build this thing, the other recruits can help by doing this.

[aspearation]

ALASTAIR already said none of that is going to happen. It's not going to erupt violently or outside its usual... eruption area or whatever. If you don't believe them, then nothing I can say is going to change your mind, because they know way more than we do. [ There's a pause, and then she adds, ] And someone's already finding out if the natives have their own evacuation plan, because they probably do. If it comes to that, I'd rather they do something they're already familiar with.

[ a pause, and then a sigh. he doesn't usually give up, but... ]

Well, you can't say that I didn't tell you any ideas or didn't have a plan. Hope you're right and this actually works.
