[Well, while some may have seen her more recently to figure Sakura went home for a while, and she doesn't thiiiink it was too long that she would have been missed, in the timing of things being so different here, she still wants to try reassure everyone. So when she turns on the jewelry to talk to everyone, while there's still that same shorter light brown hair and wide green eyes, the face that greets everyone is more matured, less rounded as age refines her features more. A year or two in someone older might not change their appearance so drastically, but for her, given she had barely been twelve prior in her time with ALASTAIR, it is quite a difference.]

H-hello everyone!

I just wanted to say that -- that I'm back! Though I'm not sure I was exactly 'gone' back home for long with the timing here..... I think it was maybe a year and a half? For me. Or maybe a little longer. A lot happened, back home, since I think I last recall when I was here before. I guess I can talk about it a bit if anyone did have questions. The main thing really is that I'm going to need more clothes. I think some of the bigger things I had before might still fit, but....I'm sure this is something I can figure out easily enough.

[But honestly that is hardly the most important thing here with. Everything else that has been going on. Even if she did initially arrive here again in her pajamas.]

Ah, also -- if anyone was hurt in the battle and all - please come see me and Sieglinde-chan! We're able to try help heal anyone that needs it, but we can't know unless you come to us for help. Or find someone else, if you prefer. I'm sure we aren't the only ones capable of healing. Just please take care of yourselves, okay?

You went home for a year and a half?

[Must've been nice. Although Emma can't say she'd appreciate being sent home only to be plucked back in here for a second time.]

I did. And well, I guess I don't have much choice but to handle things. In some ways, I'm glad to be back and glad I got that extra time back home. A lot happened. But it also gave me some closure.

[Really, Sakura has dealt with a lot, with handling the Cards and everything here. Even if she is still just into her teens, she's got a fairly decent head on her shoulders, and quite capable for all that most would likely underestimate her.

But the compliment does have her cheeks and nose getting a little flushed.]

Closure?

[If Emma would like to close the book on anything, it's her time with AlISTAIR. It says a lot about Sakura that she can accept all of this without freaking out, but she's still so young to be expected to deal with the current situation - and here she is, offering help to who needs it.]

I'm glad it worked out okay for you. Do you need anything?

[Since she's offering, it seems fair to do the same.]

Yes. Before, I was...about to take a very important test. Now I know I passed and everything turned out in the end. Ah, mostly. [Because even years later, she still frets over Toya, and feels bad that her brother had to give up his magic for Yue. For Yukito, in her place. Because she wasn't powerful enough to sustain him.]

I guess, like I said, I mostly need clothes that will fit better. I still have some I got or initially arrived in before, but I'm not sure how well most of those would fit me now.

I'll see what I can find. [Through her things, and any stuff that's hanging around. She's always been good at making things work; living on her own taught her how to get by with whatever was around - and to steal what wasn't, but that's probably not the kind of help Sakura needs. It's also not a survival choice Emma would recommend to a girl her age, so that's out.]

What room are you in? [For her to drop things off, because she'll definitely give up a few pieces of clothing to make sure the kid gets what she doesn't have.]

Hm? Oh! Graham-san will know!

[Wait, she shouldn't just assume all the recruits know each other like that. Sakura looks a little sheepish before shaking her head and giving the actual room number.]

But you'll have to let me help you somehow in return too.

You think Graham'll help me sort out clothes for a teenage girl?

[ She smiles because, seriously, is it wrong if she's going to enjoy this?]

I don't need anything right now. How about you owe me one?

[One favor that Emma will never ask for. That's not who she is or how this should work when it comes to children. She's helping because she wants to.]

Ah, or...maybe not. But Graham-san knows where I live. He's helped me with a lot of things since I got here with ALASTAIR, I meant. Not so much that he might know about clothes for girls.....

[At least, as far as Sakura knows, he doesn't have a daughter of his own or anything. So that might be a little strange.]

Okay then. You let me know next time you need help with something then.

[At least, this way Sakura hopes to somehow later show her thanks.]

He's very helpful, even when he's out of his element.

[Which with Emma, sometimes he is.]

He is! He's helped me a lot, even teaching me how to use a bow.

[A sword, using the Sword Card is one thing, but aside from that she has no real experience in fighting, in weaponry. So she appreciates the other attempting to help her. With some missions, it's inevitable she will need to defend herself, even if she's never actually alone, with all the other recruits.]

Right! I mean, working with something that's even a little bigger should be easier to alter if I need to to make it fit.

And your alteration skills are pretty good?

[ Emma was thinking just to cut something down and cuff it, but what Sakura is suggesting sounds a little better.]

Ah, well, I've done...a little bit of sewing. But I'm not quite on Tomoyo-chan's level or anything! But I guess it depends on what I find. Some clothes might be easier to alter than others. Even if doing this by hand might take a little longer.

[But all they have is time, preparing in general for all of this. And then hopefully some downtime in Oska headquarters in the aftermath.]

It seems like the kind of thing that would be useful here. I never got too far with sewing.

[Because why steal a needle and thread when she could just steal clothes that fit her?]

Maybe I could teach you? I mean, I'm sure everyone will probably need to mend or make clothes while we're with ALASTAIR, even if they do give us our uniforms.

That sounds like a good tradeoff. I'll find something for you to wear and you can give me pointers on fixing it up.

Ah, sure! I can try. It could be fun! Besides, I think it'd be useful, if our uniforms get ruined on a mission or something, to know how to do some basics in altering them or repairing them.

Welcome back; if you acquire clothing, I can alter it to fit you better. (Kindness creates bonds; bonds that might be useful in the future.)

Ah, thank you! That would be wonderful! I think Alice-san is good with sewing too. I guess I'm okay but I'm nowhere near as good as Tomoyo-chan. I'll let you know when I next manage to get some. If some might be a bit big still perhaps.

I feel more confident when I have clothes that fit. (She does not recognize any of the names, but her smile doesn't falter.) Considering what is being asked of us, it seems necessary for us to be comfortable.

Confident...hm. That's not wrong. It's uncomfortable, and difficult, if you're wearing clothes too tight or too big. Did you do a lot of sewing back home?

I have done a fair amount. I found the Eyrie in Westeros to be far colder than I was accustomed to - I was raised in the East, you see - so I fashioned clothing to make myself warmer.

Oh, really? Hm, I know back home it's usually colder....up North? But that might not necessarily be the case with your Westeros. But making your own clothes - I'll have to introduce you to Tomoyo-chan if she comes here! She's my best friend that's been making clothes for me for years now for fun.

It is so. The North of Westeros can be bitingly cold. There is snow almost constantly on the ground.

You are blessed to have such a friend. Why do you call her "Tomoyo-chan"?

Snow all year? That almost seems hard to imagine....like it's winter all year round rather than celebrating the other seasons.

[But ah, there are plenty of others who aren't from Japan. Who therefore have no clue on honorifics she so frequently uses.]

Oh, the 'chan' is like a way of showing our relationship? Or how old someone is, depending on the honorific you use. Or if you don't use one, that means you are really close! Honorifics are only used in Japan though. I use 'chan' with Tomoyo-chan because we're friends and in the same class in school and all, the same age. If it's a boy, like Syaoran-kun, I use 'kun' instead. I'm sure others have their own sort of honorifics, like calling people 'Sir' or 'Miss' or something similar too.

Seasons in Westeros can last decades. We have been in the midst of Summer since before my birth, but the weather is turning colder; harsher. I believe Winter is coming.

(Saying those words brings back memories of her family; her true family. She pushes them down, breathing evenly.)

My world has similar terms; they are used as signs of courtesy. "Lord", "Lady" and "Ser" are the most common. Ser is used for Knights - however I use it for the men I encounter who are particularly brave too.

Decades? Back home it's only months each season. I think I like spring the most - seeing the cherry blossoms!

[So that's obviously something rather hard to imagine, or begin to, for her. And well, the cherry blossoms she is named for, seeing the flowers return again is just something almost magical.]

Yes or longer. We do not know how long the seasons will last. (They just make do and watch the signs.) What are...cherry blossoms?

Alayne will suit me. I think I would grow tired of hearing the title.

Years....Decades maybe. That's a long summer. But of course, if it's only been summer, and I'm not sure there are cherry blossoms outside of Japan. The best I could do here would be to maybe show you a photo or drawing. But they are trees with pretty pink flowers that bloom in spring. It's - where I'm from, they're called 'sakura. I'm named for them.

Just Alayne? I just like to make sure. Different worlds or times have different titles.

They sound beautiful. I think I would like an orchard of pink trees. (And when the petals fell, wouldn't that be lovely.) The name suits you. You should wear pink in honor of it as often as possible.

There are many titles, I'm sure, but none of them matter here.

There's festivals around them back home. And lots of tourists come at that time of year to see them! [But oh. Pink, well she does often wear it, and usually just rolls with it if Tomoyo makes her something but her wardrobe is still varied. But that particular pale pink is rather lovely, it's true. She can't help being a little flustered at the compliment.] She named me well. My mother. I don't really remember her well though.

[Titles though. What Alayne says does make sense. So it gets a nod from her in agreement.] Hm. We are all supposed to work together with these missions. And I'm sure some might be royalty or heroes back home but we aren't back home, are we?

I did. I don't think it was for long on your end though.

[So. She isn't surprised if it might not immediately have been apparent. A lot was going on, after all, with the fighting and everything.]

Haven't heard anyone lookin' for ya, so probably not. Definitely wasn't more than a year. Doubt it was longer than a week or somethin' like that.

I'm just glad it doesn't seem like anyone was too worried at least.

[As if Graham and anyone else needed that worry of what happened to her on top of everything else. No, it was better this way, a relief, if she's honest. And she's glad it's the same back home while she's here too, that nobody misses her or anyone else of the ALASTAIR recruits, if only for their sake and that the recruits aren't constantly worried on the situation back home.]

So, basically, even if we get t'go home, we might not get t'stay.

Yes....or, it seems like it. From my experience at least.

[Which. Okay, that probably isn't the most reassuring to hear, is it?]

That ain't really fair. Do they do that on purpose?

I don't know. But I am a lot stronger now. More powerful. So maybe that's why they let me go back for a while?

[Because now, in theory, she can presumably help more with missions, with her more powerful Sakura Cards.]

[ She nods slowly. It's a sound theory. ]

[ If their missions are often like the one in Nalawi, it probably isn't really the place for a young child either. ]

I'm just glad, if this means I can help more.

[And now she is (a little) older, perhaps everyone won't fret quite as much. Though she's not sure that's too likely.]

I figure that they obviously need me, if they brought me back. And I know Syaoran-kun and everyone back home won't be worried, since it's like I never left and came here. I know it's dangerous sometimes, but...I guess I am glad, to see my friends here again.

And good to be back. Most everyone here, I wouldn't be able to see back home. It's good to know they're okay. To see them again.
