Hey now that things have died down a little

I know a lot of you here have crazy magic superpowers of some sort or another, so I'm kinda looking for some advice of the psychic variety...

wait that came out wrong I don't want my palm read or anything, I mean like. is there anyone here that's psychic [ god that sounds dumb ] that I could get some advice from... psychic to psychic. I guess technically esper to esper if anyone's heard that word before seriously hit me up I need to talk

but I feel like that's a long shot so, longer story short right before I got here I kinda got a lot of shit that I don't understand in the slightest dumped on me with no manual and no receipt, and up until recently I haven't really been giving it much thought but now... I donno I'm just way out of my depth here and I want to try and turn that around, I feel like getting the hang of this is a step in the right direction. if I've got it I should put it to use right??

So if any of you know anything about like... telepathy or clairvoyance (??) or alternate universes/timelines or the ""morphogenetic field"" I'm literally just throwing out buzzwords now or even if you can just like, mentally trigger your powers... can we talk? like is there something you focus on, do you feel different, is there anything you did/do to train it besides constant repetition bc I'm not sure how to even pull that off... I don't entirely know what I'm asking, I really don't have the vernacular for this kinda thing yet.

Yes, yes- I'm aware it's real. I had a jaunt across mayfly universes for a while.

There's not... really a pattern? not one I can figure out anyway. I guess it happens most often when I need a solution or an out or something so like I'm definitely doing something subconsciously I just have no idea what... much less how to work on it, it's kind of a heat of the moment thing

like are they all weirdly themed or evil or inexplicably way culturally different? no they're all on the "played scissors instead of paper" level of different. as far as I've ever seen anyway.

I guess if I jump far enough they're... different in age. but that's about it.

It's more curious as to what you relationship with them may be.

Do you speak with them? Or is it a swap in perception? Do they experience the same thing?

the info exchange is like... flashbacks? like deja vu for something I know for a fact couldn't have happened I'm just suddenly aware that I saw/heard/did something. somewhere, somewhen. the actual jumping I think is like switching places with them. mentally not physically.

I don't actually know if it happens to them too or if they notice, can't really speak for them you know.

Though, tell me, just how much do you know about inter-dimensional travel and the details of the multiverse?

but no it's not a science thing afaik, it's something people are born with but it's rare. I didn't even know they were a thing until right before I got here, let alone that I was one
and I mean right before I got here. like a day before I got here.

So, here it goes:
You have yourself, and you have other selves. How and why, right? Welllllll .............
Each universe is like the others- think of them as well produced stereo sound. If you breakdown the foundation of reality, it ceases to be- what do the science tomes say? Particles, yes? But it goes further. It's more like vibrations- like sound. Music. Stories.
Since the multiverse doesn't exactly contain strict barriers, those vibrations move through one another. Sometimes through other vibrations, then they're muffled, etc. etc. They resonate, like retelling a song, or remembering a tale of whatever you ate for breakfast. The cosmos repeat that story in different ways, telling it again. It's called multiversal resonance. It's what keeps certain people the same, and it's why sometimes myths carry, and things that happen in other universes seep into ones where the stories didn't happen.
I suppose there are some wires that could get crossed, and somehow you're remembering the story of another you.

alright I'm picking up what you're putting down. that actually kinda makes sense. the little differences and everything...
But like... just how many wires can you cross like that? because before I got here I remembered a lot of weird shit that way, and the way all the times/wellbeing line up it wasn't just another me it's like a dozen at least. someone told me maybe hundreds.
and that doesn't even begin to cover the whole hopping between them entirely. can you resonate hard enough to get knocked onto another wave like that??

You're asking how many memories you can recall where you hadn't lived in that universe,
