So we got a buncha old fashioned guys who are used to swinging around swords all the time and stuff, right? It seems like it, I can't go 20 feet without tripping over someone that's never seen a minipad before. God, would it kill that rift stuff to start taking more people from the modern era?

Anyway, point is I need one of you guys — or, hell, a buncha you guys — to start teaching. I've got some students in mind, foremost being me, because the training room here doesn't cut it if you've never even seen a fucking sword before. And if anyone else sucks at medieval stuff too lemme know, we'll make it a whole party.

Achilles and Koltira, you guys are my top medieval guys that know what you're doing, don't you fucking ignore this.

Also, I've got this little super strength issue where I might break any weapons I try and use, so... there's that, too. Still working on that obstacle. Any ideas, lemme know.

Okay, here look. Something like this, generally. It's been over a year since I've seen one but they're pretty hard to forget.

You wear it on your arm and it follows through on the movement of your fists.Your fist just isn't going to be the impact deliverer, the blade is. You can use it to defend from other attacks too without having to worry about the blade integrity being compromised. Since you don't hold it like a sword, it shouldn't break nearly as easily on that principle alone.

I'm pretty sure you'd have no problem charming them.

Ah, so hookblades are held in your hand but not wielded the same as a normal sword.

I've never used one, but I've read about them and their movements and they are very strength focused. Because of this, perhaps it would work well for you. They say they are hard to master but worth it for all the options it gives you in one weapon. You could trip opponents, drag them forward... and that's just an alternate use of the hook. You can use it like a regular sword, I think... you just can't pierce. [ With the main part, anyway, he means, since he did draw what probably is supposed to be small blade on the opposite end. ]

Uhh... fail that, I've seen smaller variations strapped underneath the arm rather than over like the flail, which you conceal mostly until you're on top of the enemy. You could do this, probably, too, with the right adjustments.
