[Pearl was a little apprehensive at first to go ahead about this. But when she thought about it, this would be beneficial to many people here. Especially for people who were not used to missions, or even fighting for that matter.

Swallowing hard, Pearl lifts her head and sets her 'communicator' on a rock in the outskirts of the city. Out of harm's way. Once it was perfect, she starts.]

Greetings everyone of ALASTAIR. My name is Pearl, and I wanted to offer my assistance.

[In her hand, it looks to be a sword, held confidently. She bows in greeting to the jewel, shifting awkwardly. This was so different than what she's used to. Heck, she didn't know if it was even working.

Behind her, another 'Pearl' comes up behind her, with a sword as well, about to strike her over the head with it. But in one swift movement, the opposing Pearl falls to the ground, flickering. Pearl lowers her arm, the sword having penetrated the hologram, which fizzles out of existence altogether.]

I have experience when it comes to swordsmanship, and as well as experience with the use of a spear. I wanted to gather if there would be any interest for some training. We all come from many different backgrounds, myself included. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to defend themselves.

For now, I'm gauging interest. Also, if anyone else is interested in hosting some training as well. I don't... mean to be the 'head' of any group. I merely wish to help where I can. This would help immensely for what might be on the horizon for us.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. And if you wish to speak to me in person, I'm just on the outskirts here.

[Yes, there are more Cards than just the Sword and the Mirror. Seventeen more, to be exact. Sakura's just a little protective with them given she more considers them her friends than seeing herself as their Master to order them around. When they help, it's of their own volition. And she isn't sure if making a sword or two from the Wood card might hurt her or not. She's never used the cards like that before to know.]

The plants and the animals for one thing. My leader took an interest in the planet's creatures and swore to protect them, as we still do today.

Really? This one is still quite cute to me. [ There's an amused chuckle. Fai doesn't appear horrified, even if he agrees that that fusion's appearance was quite unorthodox. He doesn't quite have it in him to find the appearance of something unpleasant. ]

Titans. The closest thing they resemble is humans... but they range in size from about five meters tall to sixty.

Oh you're not interrupting at all! However, with the current circumstances between humans and goblins, it's probably for the best.

[Pearl waves her hand dismissively.] I can handle all of that, no problem at all.

You can relax for now. Training won't start for a while anyways. Once I have the wooden sword created, I will let you know.

[Pearl feels the strength behind his attack as she meets his sword with her own. She uses a little bit of her strength, not wanting to overpower the young man, but holds firm. She holds it there for a moment before she steps back, standing up tall and pointing her sword to the ground. Her other hand rubs at her chin thoughtfully.]

You need to work on stretches. [She says, assessing. Pearl nods, as if confirming, with a small hum.]

Your arms and your legs need to be properly stretched, daily. And perhaps you can practice your swings with a wooden sword. I have another student who will be needing one as well, so I can make another for you as well.

They eat humans. But it's not their natural food source—they eat humans in order to kill them, regurgitating their remains in a fetid puddle later on.

[ lovely imagery, he knows. it's not the easiest thing to explain to someone who hasn't seen it for themselves. even the nobles who shut themselves up in their mansions in Sina couldn't grasp the danger. ]

[That makes Pearl visibly gag, and she covers her mouth, clearly disgusted by the notion. They eat people? And Pearl thought human food was disgusting in general!

She visibly shudders and swallows hard.]

Are humans the only things in which can truly kill them?

[ maybe he should have chosen his words more carefully. either way, there's no big change over here. ]

I don't know. They don't attack animals. [ and he's pretty sure that's what their world is limited to. the crew's given him some insight outside of that though. ] Some of the folks here might do a good job. You have to slice the nape of their neck, or they regenerate their parts as needed.

I do as well. If someone with his optimism and love of others can't do it...

[She trails off. No conclusion is necessary.]

Ah, okay. I guess that's true. Just let me know when the wooden swords are ready. I'll do my best with the Sword card in the meantime.

[Giving a nod of agreement and eagerness. Ready to start once Pearl is ready, has things sorted in preparation. She has managed this long without actual training after all.]

[ Inclining his head with a nod in the style of an aborted bow, he ends the feed. What an interesting warrior. ]
