[ Kida's sitting at a table at the back of the Abel inn. The bracelet's 'camera' is looking up at her, dead center, from where it lies on the table. She looks relaxed, but determined. There's definitely noise in the background, people talking, glasses--busy inn noise. She's not hard to hear, thanks to the bracelet's enchantment.

She's wearing her Chantean clothing, and with her pendant hidden beneath her tunic she might almost blend in. She can talk freely here: after all, where better to hide a fish than in a pool full of other fish? ]

My name is Kidagakash. It is a shame we could not meet under better circumstance: four missing and two more dead. We have been in this place for weeks and we are no closer to accomplishing that for which we were sent. I tire of waiting.

[ She shifts forwards on her elbows, and there's a sound like rustling as her sleeves push her papers and charcoal around. They're bare-bones drawings of the castle grounds, as much as she was able to gather from scouting, but she's not showing them off unless prompted. ]

I intend to seek an audience with Odette's king. [ Nothing less. That statement speaks volumes, owing to the fact no one is currently permitted in his Majesty's presence. She is definitely what you think she's saying. Sure smells illegal in here. ] Where better to find power than in a place of power? Records, information, whatever we might use: we need answers that will not materialize unless we act.

[ Emphasis on 'we'. ]

But this I cannot do alone. I need your help. The palace is full of guardsmen who will need to be contained, distracted--not killed. [ You know who you are. ] I will need people for whom walls are no obstacle, with a keen eye and quick step. We have worked divided too long.

We will take a few days to plan, and move under cover of night--disguised, if we can manage it. We must be as one, because we will have no margin for error.

[ She speaks like it's already a done deal--like she genuinely thinks she'll find kindred spirits amongst her fellows. She might be wrong, or right, it doesn't matter. Skepticism will be met with assurance, and criticism with dismissal. She won't twist anyone's arm, it's not in her nature: stand with her or not at all. ]

We have much to discuss. Speak with me.

[ In person, on the network, doesn't matter: you can find her at the Abel if you need her, ruminating over her plans. ]

[The feed opens not to a person, but to a thing—to an animal poking its nose about and snuffling. For a lion, it certainly doesn't seem particularly noble. Rather, it just looks lazy as it yawns wide and circles idly. Gilgamesh can be seen glaring in the background once he's caught on, dressed in the spirit of the holiday.]

Shishi! Stop that! I told you to wait a moment for my big debut!

[Shishi does not, in fact, appear interested in this debut. Gilgamesh eventually storms up and shoves the lion aside, waving apologetically at the feed.]

Well, so much for that surprise, I suppose. But indeed, comrades of ALASTAIR! It is I, Gilgamesh, and I come bearing news! The voice of our sponsor, previously thought silent, has spoken and brought gifts! More specifically, this great beast...

[This great beast, who tries to make a chewtoy out of Gilgamesh's wrist on camera. To say he's flustered is an understatement.]

...this great beast, and magic from another world. I was curious if any among you had received such a boon, and what it might be! And also—

[Shishi, apparently not so riveted by this news, proceeds to flop over. On Gilgamesh. This goes about as well as one might expect.]

Shishi, no, get off, GET OFF!

[If only the feed were kind enough to cut. If only. It just keeps rolling and rolling with poor Gilgamesh caught yowling underneath. Much regal, such majesty, wow.]

[Pearl was a little apprehensive at first to go ahead about this. But when she thought about it, this would be beneficial to many people here. Especially for people who were not used to missions, or even fighting for that matter.

Swallowing hard, Pearl lifts her head and sets her 'communicator' on a rock in the outskirts of the city. Out of harm's way. Once it was perfect, she starts.]

Greetings everyone of ALASTAIR. My name is Pearl, and I wanted to offer my assistance.

[In her hand, it looks to be a sword, held confidently. She bows in greeting to the jewel, shifting awkwardly. This was so different than what she's used to. Heck, she didn't know if it was even working.

Behind her, another 'Pearl' comes up behind her, with a sword as well, about to strike her over the head with it. But in one swift movement, the opposing Pearl falls to the ground, flickering. Pearl lowers her arm, the sword having penetrated the hologram, which fizzles out of existence altogether.]

I have experience when it comes to swordsmanship, and as well as experience with the use of a spear. I wanted to gather if there would be any interest for some training. We all come from many different backgrounds, myself included. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to defend themselves.

For now, I'm gauging interest. Also, if anyone else is interested in hosting some training as well. I don't... mean to be the 'head' of any group. I merely wish to help where I can. This would help immensely for what might be on the horizon for us.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. And if you wish to speak to me in person, I'm just on the outskirts here.

[In the end, she opts for the efficiency of a brief written message. (The message functionality of the jewelry still amazes her from time to time, but she's becoming increasingly fond of how fast it makes communication with others.)]

My name is Riza Hawkeye. I'm a military officer from the nation of Amestris. [Vague credentials, for anyone that really needs them.] There are a lot of us here gathered from different places and times, with different skills and areas of knowledge. I've spoken with a few others and we've agreed it would be beneficial for all of us to have a database of skills to pull from, both for this mission and otherwise.

[Most likely 'otherwise'; she can't be the only one suspicious of ALASTAIR after what happened in Anwick.]

If you're willing to provide a brief listing of the skills you possess, magical [because that's a thing that exists, apparently??] or otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated. If you're uncomfortable using the communications device I'm also happy to meet with you in person.

[And if you're not willing that's cool too. Everyone's got their secrets.]
