[Pearl was a little apprehensive at first to go ahead about this. But when she thought about it, this would be beneficial to many people here. Especially for people who were not used to missions, or even fighting for that matter.

Swallowing hard, Pearl lifts her head and sets her 'communicator' on a rock in the outskirts of the city. Out of harm's way. Once it was perfect, she starts.]

Greetings everyone of ALASTAIR. My name is Pearl, and I wanted to offer my assistance.

[In her hand, it looks to be a sword, held confidently. She bows in greeting to the jewel, shifting awkwardly. This was so different than what she's used to. Heck, she didn't know if it was even working.

Behind her, another 'Pearl' comes up behind her, with a sword as well, about to strike her over the head with it. But in one swift movement, the opposing Pearl falls to the ground, flickering. Pearl lowers her arm, the sword having penetrated the hologram, which fizzles out of existence altogether.]

I have experience when it comes to swordsmanship, and as well as experience with the use of a spear. I wanted to gather if there would be any interest for some training. We all come from many different backgrounds, myself included. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to defend themselves.

For now, I'm gauging interest. Also, if anyone else is interested in hosting some training as well. I don't... mean to be the 'head' of any group. I merely wish to help where I can. This would help immensely for what might be on the horizon for us.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. And if you wish to speak to me in person, I'm just on the outskirts here.

[Pearl laughs lightly and lifts her sword up, letting it disappear in a flurry of sparkles. She smooths out the front of her shirt. She faces Kida properly and nods. She twirls and lifts her leg up and back, almost touching the back of her head with the tip of her foot.]

We can start with some basics if you'd like. [She straightens up again.] While it might look effortless, it's all a matter of trial and error. It took me a long time to learn what I do know.

Hmm... I wouldn't want for you to hurt her if something were to go wrong. [She purses her lips, thinking.]

Perhaps I could create a wooden sword. While it still may hurt, it wouldn't slice into anyone...

[beyourrock]

Right, of course. [She rubs at her forehead.]

I'm just trying to come up with alternatives for people to defend themselves with.

[beyourrock]

[Pearl laughs weakly.]

You share everything with them. Mind, and body. It's an incredible feeling.

[Pearl swallows hard and tries to offer a small smile.] But no one will have to worry about any giant fusions around here.

[There is Steven, but he's only fused with one other person thus far. And Peridot? Heck no. Not over her shattered gem.]

[ It probably is incredible. Fai also finds it scary, however. He doesn't think he could ever be ready to let someone be that close. ] Hm? 'Giant'?

You become bigger when you fuse?

[beyourrock]

The more Gems within a fusion, the bigger the fusion becomes.

[Her pearl flickers and a hologram of herself and another larger gem fuse together in a graceful dance. Two glowing gems to represent two of them. And then, another much larger fusion comes into view, with three gems glowing on it. This one had wild long hair and four arms. That's right. Four arms. And the two of them become one giant being.

With eight arms. And much bigger than the last.]

Obviously, the more gems that come together, synchronized, the stronger it becomes.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Alice.

I have seen many female leaders in my day. They are just as strong as their male counterparts. Or more so in some cases.

[beyourrock]

[Pearl crosses her arms and tilts her head to the side, looking at her communicator expectantly.]

Well, why not? My swordsmanship could use a little polishing.

[ Zen had decided to call him a knight, after all, even if his expertise is hand-to-hand combat... might as well look occasionally fancy about it. ]

[Pearl shakes her head.]

It was magic, yes, but I'm far from being a sage. I'm... [Don't say magical space rock. Don't say magical space rock.]

My goodness, I'm seeing so much interest thus far, this is better than what I expected!

It is nice to meet you, too, Miss Pearl.

Are there many like that?

They may have pulled a variety of people, some of whom aren't that used to combat yet. It's a valid offer, miss.

Or we just have some people who want to shed some stress through fun and violent combat methods.

[beyourrock]

Oh please, you can call me Pearl. And who might you be?

This is true. Nothing like a good sparring match here or there to relieve some stress.

[beyourrock]

With my kind, yes there are many like that. And through time, in human history, things have progressed, but sometimes things aren't quite as easy.

But for now, here, we need to all work together.

[sediments]

Really? I'll come right away then!

[ There's a pause. ]

—Why are you in the outskirts though?

[beyourrock]

I have been doing a bit of training myself. And, I wouldn't wish for any of the townsfolk to get too worried.

It's away from any goblin homes thankfully. And plus, it's much more cleaner here.

[digophelia]

If you're not human, what does that make you?

[beyourrock]

I'm a sentient gem.

[YUP.]

[digophelia]

[ Alice seems to edge up closer to the camera. ]

A sentient gem.

[ "Sentient" obviously implies that she's a living gem. She tilts her head to the side as if to get a better look of how that is remotely possible. ]

Really? Does that mean you were an actual pearl before?

[ What is tact. ]

Oh! Then that would make you a, ah... "Crystal Gem," then? He spoke very highly of all of you.

[beyourrock]

Yes, I am a Crystal Gem.

[She laughs bashfully and shrugs.]

We're not all that special.

[beyourrock]

[Pearl blinks and rubs her neck.]

I was made before. I've always been a Pearl.

[of_her_own_accord]

He seems to think of the world of you all. Sometimes that's enough.

[She nods.]

He's a very unique young man, isn't he?

[digophelia]

[ Still curious, Alice doesn't stop there. She has a bit of a smile on her face, still with child-like curiosity. ]

So does that mean there are others like you? Are all gems sentient?
