002 VIDEO @serene
[Serene's not looking too good lately, having been worn down by Lilac's screaming and the growing realisation that she's failing badly at her current task. Lilac at the moment is clinging to a tree behind her, snapping at bugs with her sharp teeth.
When Serene speaks she's terse and unsmiling, getting to her point as quickly as she can.]
I have a request for those skilled in magic or craft: Are there any here who know how to construct a raft? This raft would be something we carried on our shoulders between us on the drier parts of land and poled across the wettest stretches.
If not, I intend to head back to the drier forest to find fallen branches to lash together. I do not know if what I make will float, but there is little harm in trying. I would appreciate the loan of a woodchopper better than my sword.
[She shrugs shortly]
It may be that this preparation ends up being for nothing but I would rather avoid my boots getting too wet. This water looks stagnant.

Oh! [Having him grip the other side makes all the difference in the weight. She barely has to flex her muscles to lift, though the size of it means they shuffle awkwardly. She manoeuvres them as close to the bank as she can without getting her boots wet]
Let us toss it in on three! One, two...

[And he throws it, none too gently. For something made of bones, it somehow does float. But maybe that's the magic coming into play again.]

Ahh... We will need one more bone, a long and thin one to act as a steering pole

Alright!
[Papyrus steps aboard the raft as well- and given that he doesn't weigh much of anything himself, the only added weight onto the raft is with his sleeping squidge, wrapped around his back with his cape. His squidge probably weighs more than him at this point, honestly.
Still, he summons one more bone, and hands it off to Serene.]
I've never had this many bones summoned at once... I hope that doesn't cause a problem, nyeh heh heh!!
[It won't. But he doesn't know it won't.]

This may actually even work.
[She's still half shocked she's even considering this. She calls to Lilac, who toddles along the branch she's been climbing on and jumps down into Serene's outstretched arms]
Papyrus, you are by far the most surprising person I've met here, but thank you for answering my need!
wherever you want to end this is fine!!
[He says, with a pose, "chest" puffed out as his cape flutters behind him.]
No need, big or small, will go unanswered as long as I'm around to hear it!! Unless it involves other people's laundry, I will absolutely NOT do other people's laundry!! Or ... okay, there are maybe, several needs I won't do-
[Papyrus adds, losing a bit of steam in his speech, and his posture caves in a little on itself.]
...But, that doesn't sound like something a hero would say, so...
End it here?
[Especially now that they're moving out over murky water]
