VIDEO. UN: LOKI
[ the sound of the wind storm hollows dully against the cave walls. Loki's squidge, Bacon, can half be seen crawling in the confines of his tacky green jacket and over his knee from where he sits, sometimes ducking and squeaking when a particularly large gust hits. to keep it from screaming, Loki offers his fingers absently, which the little squidge pulls on with its pudgy arms before ducking low again. ]
Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]
Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.
Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.
NOTE | Feel free to threadjack if that's your thing!! :****

[Time to ruminate over what he's actually comfortable saying about himself, signaled by a soft, thoughtful hum]
I've never been kissed. One of my co-workers picks my pockets whenever we cross paths. I have a pet cat named K for the protagonist of Kakfa's The Castle.
[That'll do]
no subject
Second one is a truth, I think. First one...hm. Is that the lie?
no subject
[Said quite easily, as though that's...not a little odd for a fellow in his twenties.
He could confirm about the second, but that'd end things early, right?]

[Though hey, Giovanni's never been kissed either, so maybe he shouldn't have gone for that one after all.]
Perhaps the second.
no subject
[Because his life is sort of ridiculous, but also... A lot of it he doesn't want to announce]
The second is also true. In fact, I make sure to stuff my pockets with candy since he's fond of it, when I know we'll be meeting.

I'm going to guess the first one, if only because it's the piece you supplied the least detail for.
And if so, that last one is a truly excellent way to name a pet.
no subject
[And not a bad strategy at all, actually]
But it's true, I really never have.
no subject
[anyways, though, moving on....
He eyeballs Haise thoughtfully, assessingly.]
Then I'm going to pick the cat thing. I realize I actually am not sure what the protagonist's name is in that book. Is their name actually K? I mean the protagonist's?
no subject
What kind souls]
His name really is K, but you're right. I don't have any pets, which might be for the best since my subordinates keep me busy.
[Although he surely wouldn't mind a cat]

[ this is rather well crafted, actually. ]
I suppose Kafka and little means for affectionate mouth touching do go along with one another.

[As a fan of incredibly morose subject matter. Also very pretty writing, but that's more relevant to other authors.
And meet because this is clearly not a woman in green...]
no subject
Tell me, what tickles you about it?
[ because well, he didn't really peg Haise as someone who would be into Kafka. consider it inquiring minds.
(totally not a woman in green, but suspiciously close to her ...) ]

I've never minded.

Frowning a bit, here:] Ah, I kind of hope it's the second one...why would you let some guy pick your pockets multiple times?
no subject
[Nothing's stranger about it than Juuzou giving him money the first time they met]
no subject
You give him candy for it? Hey, isn't that positive reinforcement or something? Of course that'll only encourage somebody to do it more... [Frowning intensifies slightly!!] That's not a sort of thing you're supposed to get used to.
