VIDEO. UN: LOKI
[ the sound of the wind storm hollows dully against the cave walls. Loki's squidge, Bacon, can half be seen crawling in the confines of his tacky green jacket and over his knee from where he sits, sometimes ducking and squeaking when a particularly large gust hits. to keep it from screaming, Loki offers his fingers absently, which the little squidge pulls on with its pudgy arms before ducking low again. ]
Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]
Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.
Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.
NOTE | Feel free to threadjack if that's your thing!! :****

I suppose it depends on what it is they're stealing.
no subject
[Haise doesn't mind at all if she'd rather not play.
They can still talk, after all]

You must be a very good cook then. [Or at least adequate.] What types of snacks do you typically make?
no subject
[He loves cooking for others, or he wouldn't do it, considering]
What I make depends on who I'm cooking for, really. For instance, he really likes sweets, so I've made things like taiyaki and daifuku before.
no subject
[please note how terribly she butchers the pronounciation of those words.]
no subject
[At least it communicates clearly to him that the food must be foreign to her]
Daifuku is made with mochi and sweet bean filling. Mochi is rice that's been pounded into a kind of springy paste and then molded into the shape you want. Taiyaki's a cake shaped like a fish, with something like chocolate, custard, or sweet bean filling. You use pancake or waffle batter for the cake, and it's baked in a mold.

Once he's given a full description:]
Those sounds delicious. Are they very difficult to make?
no subject
[Pounding glutinous rice for mochi could take time of course, but it's not so bad. And taiyaki uses an easy batter and is baked, so it's not much work by comparison]
When I have the supplies on-hand I can make them fairly easily.
[Nothing he needs out here, but surely Oska had the ingredients]
no subject
Was it something you wanted to learn for yourself, or did you parents teach you when you were young?
[The thought's foreign to her, but simply because she'd had a dysfunctional family hardly means everyone did.]
no subject
I'm self-taught. When I was in training, I found I really enjoyed cooking for others.
no subject
—Training? For what?
no subject
[More specifically a ghoul investigator, but no need to get too detailed, right?]
no subject
Were there many late nights when you needed to cook?
no subject
[Said with more enthusiasm than strict pride, because he really does enjoy it that much]
The members of my squad all have different tastes, but that just came down to finding out what they had in common.
no subject
It sounds like the members of your squad are quite close with one another.
[If they're eating meals together.]
no subject
[For which he can only be happy. Urie was the most resistant, but he feels that he can see a difference there too]
no subject
Do you miss them?
no subject
[And, so far as he's concerned, his family.
He doesn't know much of his past, but in the present, he had his squad and his superiors]
But I'm sure we've all got people we miss.
no subject
Only a moment's spared for sentiment before she returns her attention back to Haise.]
I hope you get to see them again soon.
no subject
I'll have quite the story to tell when I do... And I hope you'll see your associates soon as well.
[He gets the feeling, even from that quiet moment, that they're alike in this]
