Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]

Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.

Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.

[Judging by how Koltira is so poetic about his age, the latter could most definitely be true as well. Somehow. Is being cursed with undeath considered a new race?]

But when I was alive, I wasn't bad. More forthright than he was, to be sure. He could never just ask a woman to dinner directly.

He was. Shy and gentle. We were both temple guards, but I spent most of my time looking after him.

[ He sounds uncharacteristically soft as he recalls this. Feels like a lifetime ago, though really--by his estimation of time--it's only been a very short while. ]

[Hellboy is very certain that Koltira's brother is dead, judging by what he knows of how he came to be how he is. He's not going to ask directly, of course; there would be no point. He doesn't really want to spoil this memory for the elf. Hellboy knows as well as anyone that it's important to hold onto the good things from your past.]

More often than not, I had to push him into trouble. If he had his way, we would have done nothing but sit at the temple and play lutes.
