VIDEO. UN: LOKI

[ the sound of the wind storm hollows dully against the cave walls. Loki's squidge, Bacon, can half be seen crawling in the confines of his tacky green jacket and over his knee from where he sits, sometimes ducking and squeaking when a particularly large gust hits. to keep it from screaming, Loki offers his fingers absently, which the little squidge pulls on with its pudgy arms before ducking low again. ]

Hello there, it seems like we'll be waiting this out for some time considering the weather-type circumstances. While we're all rotting away, etcetera etcetera, I thought we could amuse ourselves with a game. A little bit of team bonding funtimes, so to say. [ he twists a dark nailed hand in the air, gesturing. ]

Soo—oo ... it's called Two Truths and a Lie. How do you play? Glad you asked, it's simple! Give two true statements about yourself and add a lie to the mix, shake it up then toss it out there and see if your team members know you well enough to spot the lie.

Usually this is done with copious amounts of alcohol, but we're lacking at the moment. [ pause. ] But—ah—you could always enjoy the satisfaction of being right. It's not like we're doing much else.

NOTE | Feel free to threadjack if that's your thing!! :****

[A good learner but stubborn. She supposes the two aren't mutually exclusive.]

Very well. Do you tend to focus more on body language or speech patterns?

Body language. People say too many stupid things, so sometimes I don't always listen. [KEATS]

[Wow.]

And what exactly do you deem 'stupid'?
headlining: (do it better than anybody)

If I answered that question, we'd be here all day.

[KEATS NO]

[Keats why.......why does he have to be so stubborn about this. She sighs, more exhausted by the exchange than anything else.]

Do you really find most people that offensively incompetent?
headlining: (Default)

[personal profile] headlining 2016-08-19 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
On a usual basis. Sometimes it's a waste of time listening to other people talk, since they really don't know what they're going on about most of the time.

["Stubborn" is actually his real first name DIDN'T YOU KNOW]

[That's a terrible first name PICK A BETTER ONE.]

And how do you know they don't know what they're talking about? Do you consider yourself an expert in all matters in the world?

[There's no bite to her words, just a genuine attempt to try to understand where he's coming from. (It's not going so well.)]

Hardly not. I'm not some kind of professor who knows all. It's just that people often fall back on illogical explanations for most of the things they explain, so what's the point in listening to something that's already argued in a completely wrong way from the very start?

[Riza.....he's terrible. Don't even try to understand where he's coming from. It's not worth it.]

[Well it was either understand where he's coming from or try to beat sense into him and the latter has already failed terribly. Though from the looks of things, the first is going the exact same direction.

Given they are right back where they started. Ugh.]

How do you know everything out there applies to the logical standards of the world you're from?
headlining: (i just count the hours)

[personal profile] headlining 2016-08-24 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
What do you mean "out there"? In other worlds? Or alternate universes? Either way, it's hard for me to believe that the fundamental laws of the universe could be so easily inverted without some serious consequences.

[He's a tough nut to crack - his thought process is so cyclic it makes one wonder if there's anything else going on in his head.]

I mean, I'm not going to nitpick, and sometimes I just don't have the time to argue semantics, but I just hear about all these fantastic things and it makes me feel like I'm in a dream.

I'd be happy to pinch you to prove otherwise.

[A joke, mostly, though she's certainly developing some violent tendencies at this point.]

Would you now? [He laughs at that.] Either way, I'm fine just going along with things, so no need for that. It'll make for a very good story for my magazine.
