Um. The only expectation that I know of is that we try our best. We're given many different kinds of missions, and each one so far has asked different things of us... But for each mission I've been a part of so far, a common theme seems to be teamwork. We really are at our best when we work together.
As for going home... I've only known of a few who have managed it. Recently someone was brought home and then fallen back without any warning, but I know of another who was given the chance to say goodbye before returning.
