[ he looks so unhappy. Even unhappier is the fact he has to actually ask concerning all of this. He's certainly not familiar with this kind of culture and its really ... sandy out here. What a strange place. ]
Yo~ Is it normal for this sort of place to not have real horses? Did they kill them all off or what.
[ there's an unamused and frustrated snorting that comes from behind him and the addition face of a really weirdly accessorized horse . The warlord glances up to look at the horse and almost smacks himself in the face with one of the handlebars but manages to avoid it. Barely. ]
So, I can't leave him in the stables with a bunch of... fake horses. That's terrible. But, what do you think the chances for real-horse thieves being around when they're used to fake ones, anyway? They wouldn't value a live one over a robot, right? It'd be too much trouble?
[ As if. anyone would survive trying to steal this horse, it's a terror from hell, but not that many people here actually know that, so... it's a completely valid sounding concern!? ]
This horse is my life!
[ Probably not true. It just so happens this is probably the only horse he jumped off of that didn't get lost due to his irresponsible manning of a warhorse... but details!? ]

But that's all theoretical, of course.

[ hm.
that is not a point that can be dismissed. That also sounds like it could be a problem, if true. ]
Theories aside! Level with me— which one do think is more likely from this place so far?

Bargain first, then take if no deal? Or, just one or the other, depending on how you feel that day?
[ in his defense, this sort of culture idea is pretty cool. I mean, how much more "west" do you get than Cowboys and bandits and guns and horse thieves? So he's gotta slip in the important weird and useless 'style' questions. He can only hear this guy's voice and not see him, but he sounds... like he knows this sort of stuff pretty well. Or at least, can act like he does. Which is almost just as good! ]

A man might want to look at you and decide how much trouble you might give before makin' their choice. If you look like you're easily swayed with pretty words and coin, a man might wanna bargain with you.
Others less savory might just take the horse if they're confident they can get away with it.

So, I guess I should be more worried about when I'm not there. [ because obviously he is a mega badass and no one would wanna mess with him just by sizing him up(...!? Ignore that he's under 6 feet and not very big in muscularity. Strong and fast, but not much to write home about past exceptionally fit if one were just looking at him physically by any means. ]
A stable might make sense normally, but... Would a stable even be that well guarded in a place like this? i would think thieves happily steal the machine horses around here, if the opportunity comes. ... ...Then again, their jail isn't even really that well guarded from the looks of it, so...
[ maybe the machine horses are just cheaper to replace than to protect. Ugh. ]

Guess that's the risk you're gonna have to take. Alternatively, if you're real worried, you could pay someone to look after your horse while you're scamperin' around here. I'm sure someone would take you up on it.

Usually just Kojuro does it, but he did get shot on the train so it might be a load off of him to do something like that.

...Oh. Did you happen to see any apples in the shops if you've been, yet?
no subject
No worries. You'll find ways to feed your friend there.

[ His horse whinnies before noses at his hair like it's going to start eating it if Masamune does not find him apples soon. ] ...Feh. [ because his hair didn't look ridiculous enough as it was, it's now sticking up on one side in a terribly obvious fashion. ]
...Anyway, are you really a card player? [ or is this guy a card weapon holder... important things to know from reading usernames, obviously. ]
no subject
I do a lot of things with cards. Playing is just one of many.
no subject
[ he has not ever seen this sort of card playing but it looks really... uhm, western. So it's cool. By default. He's actually sort of a westaboo so please don't mind him too much ;;; ]

The games can be a little intense if you don't know what you're doin'. But I do.

You a betting man?
no subject
I've not had a chance to do it much with real gambling [ Unfortunately ] , but my men seem to like it!
[ if he's a betting man in general beyond material worths, it's probably a safe bet to say yes. Therefore, he most likely won't have trouble finding it a good time. ]

Did... you put handlebars on your horse?
[Law hasn't really ridden horses before but he is 99.9% they are not supposed to have those.]
no subject
Yes. [ don't listen to your brain, they totally belong there!!! ] They work great with the rest of it.
[ Traditional reins are for squares.
You should see the saddle...! ]

Eventually, he speaks up, and his tone doesn't carry a hint any emotion other than calmness and a pleasant attitude. ]
I am not sure I understand why it would be so wrong to keep your horse with the others, if there are no other suitable spaces.

[It would keep the familiar busy... and also... out of the room where she's got chemical fumes wafting everywhere... anyway...]
