[The barely teen blinks for a moment to ensure the jewelry is working before giving a small smile and wave in form of greeting.]

Um, I just wanted to say I'm sorry if I...confused anyone earlier with the bugs and the um, the timeline mess. I'm back to normal now! Like everyone else, I guess. But I hope everyone's okay after the train and all. I did my best to try help keep everyone safe there.

[Among general other more recent events with this new mission. Like Chihiro forgetting her toothbrush, that seems more minor but could be a pain depending just how long they are here for.]

Like I've said before, if anyone needs help on this or any other mission, I have my healing. And my cards. So please just send me a message, okay? Oh, and hello to all our newer arrivals! I think I've met one or two of you, but I'm Sakura! I've been here about a year so if any of you have any questions I can do my best to help.

[Nyuu has no idea what Sakura means when she mentions the bugs and timeline, but she can ask about that later. For now, she bows her head respectfully in greeting, smiling in return.]

A pleasure to meet you, Sakura-chan. I'm Nyuu, one of the new recruits. [It still feels strange to introduce herself that way.

As she straightens herself, Nyuu's expression morphs into one of curiosity.]

Have you really been with ALASTAIR for that long? Did they ever give you an update on how their progress of returning you home was going?

[Nyuu has no idea how she herself would be able to last here for that long. It's an intimidating thought.]

Nyuu-san, then! I hope the robbers weren't too much trouble, and that was before we even started the mission.....

[It was still kind of easier to deal with than the dragons way back when, but still. Sakura can appreciate that wasn't the smoothest start, especially for someone's first mission at all with ALASTAIR.]

I have, yes! There's a few of us that were here since about then. As for home...I did go back at one point, but I came back here again.

[She isn't the only one either. Timelines and all that.]

Well... [Uncomfortable pause.] I was terrified, but some more people from the crew helped me get to safety. I couldn't stop shaking when we first arrived into town, though... I'm not used to those sort of situations at all.

[She sincerely wishes that she could have been more helpful during that time, but at the same time she's worried about the possibility of the "other her" emerging. What would she do then? How was she supposed to explain something that she barely knew herself?]

Really? How did you end up with ALASTAIR again? Was it that rift they mentioned?

That's good! I mean....not that you were scared, but that you were okay. That you're okay now. Relatively.

[Everyone eventually gets somewhat used to the missions and all. It's just not always easy. Especially with a start like this one.]

Something like that, yes.

[A soft chuckle accompanied by an understanding smile.]

It's alright, I understood what you meant. I hope you were faring better than I was at that time. [She ended up frozen with fear.]

You must have seen a lot of other missions during your stay here. What were they like?

[Trying to get a better understanding of what could possibly be in store for her.]

I didn't get hurt too badly trying to help, at least. Thanks to Shield.

[And hilariously. It's actually been the theoretically simpler and easier mission previous she got more seriously injured.]

Well, there have been a few. One we were at this beach place, like the tropics with lots of Islands and had to figure dealing with these two goddesses, and another we helped some squidge babies get somewhere safe and grow up.

Oh, you raised babies?

[She can't help but smile at that. Back home she'd just started raising an abandoned baby bird she found in the garden.]

Sounds like I'll have to start learning all sorts of things if I want to keep up with the variety of missions.

[Only problem was that she wasn't sure where to start, though self-defense might be the best choice.]

Sort of. But y-yes. The missions aren't always around fighting. But there's lots of different recruits that can teach us lots of different things if you ask!

[She's learnt a lot from others helping her out during the various missions, after all.]

That's a relief. Is there anyone you would recommend?

Well...it depends what you want to learn? Graham-san has taught me how to use a bow. And how to camp and stuff outside. Others taught me different things but some of them went home, like Pearl-san....she was teaching me to use a sword.

[Nyuu listens carefully, nodding her head a few times.]

Earlier you mentioned something about healing? And cards? Are they connected, or do your cards have different abilities?

[She can't help but think that Sakura almost sounds like a magician, which she thinks is really cool.]

Oh, well. The healing is some magic I got from helping ALASTAIR. The Cards were from home that I brought with me when I came here. So I guess in that sense they're different, yes. None of my cards can heal.

Really, ALASTAIR can give you magic? [Oh, that sounds so interesting! What if they gave her magic someday as well? What kind would it be?]

Ah, I see. What can your cards do then, Sakura-chan?

Yup! I don't think I'm the only one either, if you asked others too.

But my cards....hm. They can do all sorts. It depends which you ask about. I guess for most of them the names are probably obvious. But there's the main four elementals - Earthy, Firey, Watery and Windy. Then there's the others. The Fly, Shield, Sword, Jump, Maze, Erase, Flower, Mirror, Illusion, Shadow, Light, Dark, Wood, Thunder, and Glow.

[See Nyuu's eyes grow big with wonder.]

Wow... There are so many. How did you acquire such cards?

[Aside from the existence of Diclonii, Nyuu's world is pretty "normal" compared to the homes of some of the other crew members.]

I found them in a book, in dad's basement. He's traveled a lot with his digs and stuff, but I didn't know what it was. Until I accidentally activated Windy and then I had to find them all.....

[Before they got into more trouble.]

'Accidentally'?

[Nyuu feels kind of bad that she keeps on asking questions, but everything Sakura tells her is really interesting.]

I hope nothing bad happened when it activated. Were you okay?

I read out the name of the Windy card and it activated and scattered the rest. I was okay though! I got them all back in the end!

[Even when doing so meant almost drowning, going out when sick and making herself worse, to name a couple of examples. But. Details.....]

I can't imagine how long that must have taken, but I'm glad you were able to find them all again.

[A gentle smile that slowly becomes rather sad. The way her eyebrows arch add further to the look even though her lips remain slightly turned up at the ends.]

You sound like someone with a lot of talents, Sakura-chan. But me... I can't stop thinking that my being here is all a mistake. I know you said that not all missions are based around fighting, but I'm just... average.

[Actually, in the back of her mind she wonders if ALASTAIR sought to use Lucy's power to help obtain their goals. It's a terrifying thought for Nyuu since that wasn't something she seemed to be able to control. Lucy was a stranger to her.]

It took about a year or so if I remember? And then with Eriol-kun....

[Still, she looks a little sheepish at that, shaking her head even as she bows it slightly with the compliment.]

I don't know about talents. But other people here don't have magic and they've managed fine! Like Riza-san or Graham-san.

Hm?

[She cants her head to the side when Sakura mentions Eriol, but she also manages to perk up a bit.]

I have seen quite a lot of different people gathered among the crew. Guess I just need some time to figure out where I fall in.

[She doesn't even know what power Lucy holds yet Nyuu still wonders if she possessed it as well. Could she use it for better things?]

Ah, Eriol-kun was the one figuring situations to make me use and change the cards under my own power and magic.

[Not that she had realized it at the time, of course. But still.]

Right! I'm sure you have some skills or knowledge that could help! There have been all sorts of missions, so....

[So even if one of them might not show those skills, another mission with a different focus might. So Sakura figures.]

Well, thank you very much for all the information, Sakura-chan. You've helped me feel less confused than I did before.

[Nyuu's usual sunny smile is back on her face as she gives a final bow of her head.]

Hm. That depends which one you're asking about. I have almost twenty of them! They all do different things. I guess the ones I use the most are Windy - to restrain other Cards while I was capturing them, or others we might be fighting on missions, or Shield - to make a barrier to protect us, or Fly - but that one is pretty self-explanatory, right?

[As she mentions each of the three, she holds them up to her jewelry for Chihiro to see.]

The cards are pretty. Each one is a kind of magic spell? That's what it's sounding like.

[ it's fascinating, including this whole capturing card business she mentions ]

They are magic, yes! They used to be under Clow-san's magic, but since I changed them now they use my magic to power them instead. That's why these ones are all pink now. They used to be red and yellow instead.

[Really, Kero or Syaoran would probably be better at explaining this sort of thing but. Sakura does her best.]

You captured them from someone else?

Well, I found the, in this book that belonged to Clow-san. In my dad's basement. But they are my cards now, once I put my name on them and changed them with my own magic. I just had to capture them to stop them causing trouble, after I...after I accidentally used Windy and scattered them.

Woah. Magic was always part of your world?

Well, I suppose. But it's not that well-known. I had to try keep it a secret, aside from Tomoyo-chan and Syaoran-kun.

Yeah, I don't think magic's supposed to be well known where I am either. Who are Tomoyo-chan and Syaoran-kun?

Tomoyo-chan is my best friend! And Syaoran-kun is..is my boyfriend. [Her boyfriend that big brother Toya will probably never actually accept. Not outright anyway.]

[ look, brothers and parental figures sometimes have difficulty accepting these things...! ]

Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't meant to make you talk about them. They're who you'll be getting back to once they can send you back home.

It's...it's okay. I'm used to it. And at least I know they aren't worrying while I'm here helping ALASTAIR.

[She doesn't want to be used to being without her friends. Or her family. But it's come to be the way things are. She's had to adjust some upon her arrival here and all.]

... How do we all really know that?

[ How accurate is the timeline replacement from ALASTAIR, is what she wants to really know, but doesn't know how to frame to ask. ]

Well, none of them seemed to have noticed I was gone at all. No time passed when I went back for a while at one point. I was still figuring my Judgement under Yue-san, so. And I'm not the only one that's been back home either, I don't think. Though I'm not sure how it all works, exactly.

Why did you get brought back, though?

I guess they needed my help again. But, I don't mind.

Without asking? That's just rude!

It's okay. I get to help here more than I would back home. I mean, so far since I changed the last cards nothing's happened that I've needed them, so. I don't mind. They wouldn't bring me back if they didn't need me, I figure.

But they're not choosing to bring us, are they? We're just who fell through here. Though maybe they did bring you back. They should ask. Lloyd said they normally do, except for our team, who's mostly here on accident against what they'd want.

No, I know. It's just....what I tell myself to get me through this. I'm sure they'll figure it out properly. [E....eventually. Ignoring that it has already been a year.]

Um... I'm glad you're here, though. I mean, we're here because of things we didn't ask for, but it's what we need to deal with, so it's good when that's what you're wanting to do. I didn't mean to bring up bad thoughts. I'm sorry.

N-no, it's okay. I know my way of looking at all this might be different. But I like that I get to help more and all. So I don't mind. I know everyone and school will be waiting for me when I get back. So, it's alright.

I don't know if it's admirable. I just do my best. The same as anyone else.
