[The video turns on to the familiar face of Accord... except the bandage she was sporting before isn't there anymore. She also seems slightly miffed.]
I don't really think this is a great idea--
[Accord turns to address somebody behind her.]
It wasn't a great idea for you to get grabbed by an interdimensional anomaly either. Or bringing in another one of us. And yet here we are, aren't we?
...I'm sorry.
You made this bed, so we might as well lie in it. No sense hiding anything at this point considering we're already far more involved than Recorders ought to be. And you even got damaged! Honestly, do you want to end up broken?
Geez, I said I was sorry!
[Accord waves the other person off before readjusing the jewelry to show that she was, in fact, talking to... Accord? Only that one is clearly the one people know because she has a bandage on her cheek. She looks contrite.]
*ahem* I do hope my compatriot hasn't caused anybody too much trouble. Normally we have a strict non-interference policy in our work, but I suppose that's too much to ask for in this situation. *sigh* Anyway, I have been informed of the situation, and since this dovetails with our work, I suppose for now we will be more proactive. Although I really don't approve of such direct influence.
[The other Accord pulls her eye down and sticks her tongue out.]
Geez, they really sent a model with a stick up her--
[The foremost model clears her throat.]
ANYWAY. We are hereby offering our recording services on a more formal nature. If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Or me! Come on, it's not like you're the boss!
I am simply interested in avoiding the loss of any more units. Is that too much to ask?

audio;
[More of them? As if one of these headaches wasn't enough already.]
Re: audio;
"Androids," more precisely. Of the Accord line. Normally we would keep this information to ourselves, but the circumstances right now make this extremely difficult.

[He doesn't elaborate as to how. Just wrinkles his nose, unseen.]
And you record events? That's your purpose?
no subject
We document the course of timelines, with specific focus on particular events and individuals. We maintain specific interest in branching timelines, and situations which may potentially post a threat to outside dimensions.
In theory, we are not intended to interfere... although I do suppose the one instance one of us did so did end as well as could be expected.
[She shakes her head.]
At any rate, the work ALASTAIR intends for us seems a lot more direct.
no subject
[Maybe that's what's so disgusting. His tone is anything but friendly, as it was during their earlier conversation... assuming it was with one of them.]
I'm surprised ALASTAIR permits you to walk free. Meddling with timelines... that's a very high crime indeed.

...Safe to say it's not just a case of twins, huh.
[ he would have been ok with thinking that now it's just complicated. ]

Bet you anything ALASTAIR thought they were compensating me or something.
Seems more like an inconvenience to me.

...Guess you guys will just have to learn to play nicely in the same space, yeah? [ (he doesn't think he could play nicely with another of himself from a different timeline personally but luckily it's not on him to do so. ]

though, as the video goes on, it seems less and less likely that’s what they are. she looks through the previous comments and sees the word android and isn’t that something. there a ton of questions she thinks to ask but the most prominent is— ]
how many of you are there?
Re: text . un : clarkegriffin
There's about ten who are currently monitoring our primary dimension's temporal branches, but I am not currently certain how many we have in the other primary dimension. I admit I have not been keeping track much of our other stations of late.
no subject
can you reach your other selves from here? [ ... is that even the correct terminology to use? ] the ones in other dimensions, can you communicate with them?
no subject
[A beat; she can't see it, but A2 is currently coopting the jewelry from A1.]
I'm just fortunate ALASTAIR allowed me to send the data I'd accumulated already back so that another one of us could take over primary recording duties for a while. That dimension is VERY important to keep track of!
[Some more unseen wrestling.]
Anyway, it's exceedingly inconvenient.

[ the text says something about the nature of the situation, and she can’t help but think someone.
more specifically an organization.
she realizes she’s only asking question on top of question, but she can’t help but be curious. ]
are some dimensions more important than others, how do you measure that?

Or, [he pauses to consider] "recording" [certainly a different job than his, but anything can have a spirit with enough years behind them] Are you something like a fancy calligraphy pen?
A1 speaking
As for recording, we generally aim to create records in both a digital and a handwritten format. This minimizes the risk of data loss either through damage to electronic transmissions or ruined paper.

It's by design, you know. It allows us to coordinate better while still allowing leeway in case one of our own is rendered defunct.
no subject
Being replaceable by design... [He really can't stand the idea! It's causing a wrinkle in his brow that no one can see, since it's an audio log! Still, he tries to sound nonchalant about it.] Ah, well, [the end comes out a bit quicker than he'd like] Whatever! I suppose if it works, it works.

I get it now. This makes a lot of sense, actually.

Does it now?
[A2 waves chipperly. Hi Peridot!]

Your appearance is a flawless duplication of a typical human, but you're clearly not. I'll give credit to your manufacturer.
no subject
[i.e. When the human race just about went extinct.]
Although why they continued to manufacture androids as distinctly human in appearance and thought later is hard to explain. Possibly sentiment.
no subject
So how many units of you are there? More than two, obviously. Hundreds? Are you mass produced as well? Are there different types of your kind, or are you made just to record things?
