Um, this is....this is working, right? I've only replied to others with this so far. Ah, I think that's it!

[Well. She guesses it is working anyway. There's a shift of movement as she gets a little more comfortable, sitting cross-legged on her bed and brushing some bangs from her face, biting her lip and taking a deep breath before starting.

I'm Sakura! I just wanted to thank everyone that's helped me here so far. I know this isn't easy and there's....a lot going on, but if we work together, we'll figure it out and get home! I'm sure of it! I heard others also got things? Some from home, or animals or something? I got a new spell. So, I wanted to let everyone know I can help if you get hurt, okay? Or, I can try. At least try help with the worst of it until we get you somewhere safe to a doctor, I mean.

[Is she rambling? Possibly. A little. But she figures the more help she can offer, the more useful she would be and this way people would know to potentially come seek her if they were injured, right? If she doesn't say anything, how are they supposed to know who might be able to assist them if they were to get hurt in more fighting or something? Not to mention finally mentioning the other magic she has available.]

Besides the Clow cards, this is one other way I can help. I want to do my best. To get all of us back home! Or....those that want to go back, anyway. I know I was in the middle of things, so. I can't be the only one. But I can't do anything about that from here, so I just have to do my best to get home and figure it.

[But. That's not why she's talking like this. Sakura shakes her head, giving a light laugh and looking almost sheepish for trailing off like that, almost apologetic.]

[As if this were some speech at school. She gives a slight bow of sorts, the motion of it swaying her necklace before she turns it off, rather flushed but pleased with herself at the same time in that last glimpse. She has been meaning to speak up with the necklace for a while and just been so busy and distracted with everything.]

I think I understand what you mean. We just don't have any sort of system like that. So sometimes there might not be enough of some professions or too many of them. We can go to space, we went to the moon and we sent some satellites farther out, but it's still....you're right. There's still fighting. Still a lot of disagreements and misunderstandings.

And that's why your race is so flawed. Yellow Diamond would shatter any serious rulebreaker on my Home World.

Yellow Diamond? Is that like your police force or something?

[Do Gems even need such law enforcement? Possibly still, from the sounds of what she just says there.]

Yes, exactly. I report to her directly. Which, since she's so important, means I am also important.

I think I get it. That is pretty impressive! Did it take a lot of work for you to be reporting to her specifically? Or were you always doing that, with how Gems have their roles, you mentioned?

...Do you really care about this? I have a hard time believing you would actually want to hear about this.

You said I could ask you if I had questions? Is this too much? It's just...you Gems are different to what I know, so I'm just trying to understand. To learn more. It's fascinating hearing about different places and different cultures.

... Is it a thing innate to humans to be so... benign?

Complacent....oh! You mean being content with things how they are? I don't see why that's such a bad thing. Changes can be difficult, or scary sometimes. Or is that not quite what you meant?

Oh, I see. So if I frustrated you enough, you would get mad. It isn't a matter of being benign- just very tolerant. I understand now.

Brother always gets me mad with his teasing. But....I guess you could say that.

Oh, that's my older sibling, my brother - Toya. He can be a pain, but he's still family.

Right. More of this... family thing. Yet another example of human's extreme tolerance.

Ah, I wasn't sure if Gems really had families. But you have friends too, right? you mentioned some earlier. Steven? Friends are sort of like family, but you choose your friends. Family are just the people you are related to. Like your parents or your siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles - they're your parents' brothers or sisters.

[Sorry if you already know this, Peridot. She's just not sure what you might already be aware of or not with some of your questions and confusion, exactly.]
