It was nice.

( compared to Nalawi and Perditions Rest, Zeta-12 had been a fairly peaceful mission. he hadn't slept well thanks to the constant squidge-sitting, but no worse than a new parent might. and he'd only had to deal with it for a few weeks, comparatively. )

Depends on what you're up for. Holding them is a good start, or telling them stories. Singing. Talking to them, even. All of it registers, somehow, helps them hatch sooner.
