[A hard conversation to hold publicly, and yet Oliver chooses to tell him about it anyway. This is not a private set of messages being exchanged between them both, which is why it's surprising that they're even talking about this kind of thing in the first place.

Each and every person, regardless of time or place or birthright, has their own struggles to come to terms with. Asher had suspected as much of this confusing man, someone who seemed kind and sweet to everyone but himself, although perhaps it's because of what was mentioned here.

Maybe Asher had really been in the wrong, and while it wasn't his fault, it is hard to learn to be kind to people who have hurt you in the worst of ways, and even harder to do so when for some reason, you still care about them.

Look on the bright side, G.

[At least he isn't around to hurt you anymore, whichever of their classmates it might be.

Enough time has passed for him to connect the dots, however. Only one other person he knows is strictly into dudes who like other dudes, and was dating someone good with technology.

Mr. Heartbreaker isn't here to push you around anymore. So you're free, dawg.

Might as well drink to that.
