Ahem.
[The video reveals a rather proper looking young girl (ignore the old blood stains on her dress), sat in front of a rather impressive sprawl of vials, jars, and herbs.]
I am Sieglinde Sullivan, and though I have made some of your acquaintances, there are far more of you than one can expect me to know- so please consider this my formal introduction.
[She pauses, until. Yes, that's right, no one could reply yet.]
My true purpose in contacting you all is to find out who among you is capable of healing, whether that be in the scientific or magical sense. I am aware of some of you, but I could use some assistance in the production of potions and salves if there are any among you competent with such things.
Even someone unskilled could be of use if you are willing to learn and have a steady hand.
I would also appreciate the chance to speak more leisurely with those who may have knowledge of healing methods different from those of my own.
I await your contact with pleasure.

[Julius is thinking about things while Sieglinde's off searching for her list. Magic is not something he knows too well. He finds himself nodding to her anyways. ]
I have plenty of studying to do if I wish to be useful. [Perhaps he finds this amusing as he lets out a small chuckle. Julius will never be done with studying.]
no subject
[Not that such would be shocking- she had once thought that her magic was virtually unknown to those outside of her village.]
You may rest assured that it is a study which bears fruit.

I'm not familiar with magic or its concepts. The Norn database never kept any records of these things so I can't say I know it well.
Is magic difficult to understand? [Because it looks and sounds complicated to an outsider.]
no subject
[Ohhhhh is magic difficult...]
That would depend on the spell, of course- some concepts I'm sure are quite easy to grasp, but others take years to perfect!
no subject
The Norn database is a collection of military information. We access it through a terminal device of sorts. [Hopefully that answers Sieglinde's question.]
no subject
[Nod nod nod- but wait a second...]
Only military information?
[That was all he was familiar with?]
no subject
Essentially speaking, yes. I spent far too much time studying military tactics. [He's ignorant about everything else welp.]
Now that we have the opportunity to speak with each other I wish to gain more knowledge in other areas as well. Can I meet with you in person?
no subject
[War...
But!]
I've no aversion, should you be willing to travel to my location.
no subject
[Julius nods to that.]
Alright. I'll move over to where you are currently. [He always feels like it's easier to have a more personal conversation when you're talking up front.]
no subject
[She may sound just a bit wary asking that, but. She still is willing to meet.]
I am above the apothecary in the western marketplace.
action????
I'll be down there promptly.
[With that being said he makes his way down to the the western market--where Sieglinde is. Soon she'll find herself standing beside Julius who's about 5"11 in height. This soldier dude has come to say hi in person!! ]
Action!
Weirdly enough the tiny girl, (child, no doubt), who opens the door to the flat above the apothecary doesn't seem bothered at all by his height- a side effect of her own manservant being over six feet himself. She was somewhat used to craning her neck, or others bending down to her level.]
Well met, Julius Visconti. You may enter.
[She swings the door wider to let him in, hanging on to the handle for balance as she does so, her movements accompanied by the swish of skirts and the clicking of tiny, really, impossibly tiny shoes. Once he steps in, he'll be able to see the pigsty for himself- notes and experiments and half drawn magic circles covering almost every area of the room.
No one said witches were neat...]
no subject
Is this where you study normally? [His confusion is only natural tbh. Occasionally Julius will stare at the magic circle. He wonders what they're for.]

[And apparently home, because there were two beds, one much smaller than the other (and that one basically hidden by papers), and a small kitchen in the back, but... "Workshop" was more like what it was. Just one where you happened to also sleep. Once she closes the door behind him, Sieglinde carefully made her way to her desk, on which there were several somethings in progress- one glass vial full of bark in water, a brazier beneath a heating hunk of rock? But she doesn't stop there, merely uses the table to balance herself before tottering over to the kitchen.]
Feel free to sit.
[It was only polite to offer, though really he'd likely have trouble choosing between the beds or the chair, all of which have their own mess to deal with. Either way, she totters back out with two mugs, holding one out for him.
Hope you like ale, she's the host and she knows it's only right to provide ones guest with drink.]
no subject
[Julius accepts Sieglinde's offer and nods. He decides to sit on one of the chairs nearby. There's a stack of paper on it so he has no choice but to move it over. This is bewildering to someone who normally lives their life in an organized manner. He doesn't know how Sieglinde finds anything in this mess. After taking a sip from the mug he frowns.]
You seem to be working on something. What are those vials for?
[Asking about this is more important. He came here to learn magic after all.]
no subject
Nothing like a good drink, even if for some reason most people wouldn't sell it to her, here.]
- Which one?
[But her work is something she takes a lot of pride in, and she was always willing to explain.]
That one will become a potion to be mixed in drink to soothe pain, based on willow bark extract.
[She points as she goes along, feel free to stop her...]
I'm burning green vitriol over there, it will be useful as a base for numerous spells... those salves will be for encouraging the healing of flesh... that powder stops bleeding...
no subject
Pardon me for saying so but you seem young. [Sieglinde can't be older than Julius is if we're going by appearance. He takes another sip from the mug. Her studies interesting to him so nope, he's not stopping her. ]
Is it normal for children your age to practice medical science where you're from?
[This goes beyond your usual social science class. Sieglinde's literally a genius. It has Julius wondering. ]
no subject
[Which she says as if it is impressive and quite grown, thank you, even if she has to hold her mug with both hands and her feet don't touch the floor and she sits on cushions to reach the desk properly.
- but the hints of confidence in that sort of die away at his next question, and she hides the slight slip in long sip of her drink. ... Guzzle, really.]
My circumstances were uncommon, I believe.
[Specially designed and crafted just to create her, after all, to foster the natural genius she was born with to the highest level education could take it. ... She imagined children in the outside world didn't do such things at all.]
no subject
[Julius stares at his empty mug and places it on a table nearby. Thanks for the drink, Sieglinde.]
You worked really hard, Sieglinde. I must commend you for your efforts.
[He's acknowledging all the effort she put into studying magic and medicine. Sieglinde's so young but she's incredibly self efficient and intelligent.]
no subject
[She accepts his commendation without comment, however- she knows she has worked hard, but feels undeserving of praise for it after what she's done with those abilities.
A can of worms she's not willing to open at the moment.]
But that knowledge can be of use to others- I am willing to impart some of what I know.
holidays are killing me forgive me for being slow rizuuuu :'( crawls towards you..
Thanks for sharing this with me. [Julius walks up to Sieglinde and offers her a handshake. A kind gesture is all he has to give. He's seen a lot just by coming here today. ]
I'll do my part and assist you with whatever you need.
cradles ;3; it's ok holidays be like that
But weirdly enough, she seemed baffled by his sudden offer of a handshake, staring at his hand, then his face.]
- you wish to become friends?
hugs you )xxx
I'd like to become friends with you. To tell you the truth, I don't have many of them.
Is that strange?
[He's far too stiff and he isn't very approachable. Sieglinde's got it right on the mark though.]
;3;
[It was slightly mumbled as opposed to her clear way of speaking from before, but that was because this wasn't professional at all- it was rather personal.
Mainly because she didn't have many friends herself... now that she was in the outside world that was changing, but.
Carefully, she moved to shake his hand.]
... There.
