It has been almost two months since we were conscripted by ALASTAIR, and we have yet to meet, introduce ourselves, and discuss what we’ve learned in person and in an orderly fashion. In light of recent… developments, increased cooperation will become a necessity to pool what we’ve learned and plan a deliberate way forward.

I expect all of you at the red warehouse between the commoner's district and the outskirts, six days from now at sundown. For those of you inclined to provoke tensions with local law enforcement, incarceration is not an excuse for tardiness or absence.

People who don't appear are the same people who are likely to ignore whatever the core group decides.

That makes full participation essential.

I just don't see why we should bother.

[ call it an underestimation of his peers, but it doesn't seem outside the realm of anything their likely large group can handle. ]

If anything, take note of who's missing and I'll dispatch them myself if they start a ruckus.

I appreciate your commitment.

But we should bother because we are a single organization, and because there is a possibility that we were chosen for this mission because all of us will be needed to succeed.

I'd have an easier time believing that if they'd given us any direction at all.

Restoring the sun is sufficient direction.

Are you gonna be saying that still when you can't convince us all to show? It's taken us this long for a reason.

If they're so invested in this, they should give us something more to work with. A structure, for starters.

I will. The hidden sun is a symptom of something very wrong with this world, and continuing to pursue that lead will get this group to the root of the problems.

ALASTAIR has not done a flawless job -- but our ultimate task is obvious.

I hope to see this meeting make up for some of our shortcomings.

I am not blind to the fact that some will not show up. It's likely that curiosity will bring some of those who would not typically join an effort such as this, but the rest can be addressed later.

[ he's not really so concerned about what they're up to. if their employers leave it in their hands, they'll duke it out when it comes to it. ]

So is there anything in particular we should bring along to this meeting?

Any information you've been able to gather. From the goblins, the humans, any forays into territory not normally open to us...we will take it all.

[ There's a slight pause, before he shrugs and continues. ] Apparently, there will be refreshments.

Very well. No stone left unturned.

[ that's all about in line with what he was expecting. which is good, because for any small progress with the goblins he may have made on his own, it's nothing when compared to taking all of their information and running it through the minds of the rest.

though as for the refreshments,

Some of our numbers insisted on it, and Glee is nothing if not practical.
